why oh why are play.com taking so long to confirm the artwork with this??
please, please, please give us the results we've all waited so long for!!
this could be such a huge release, if it gets the artwork it deserves!!

Im pretty sure the cover wont be changed. Play would like to, but sometimes its hard to deal with studios ... Plus, there's always gonna be one runt in the litter in regards to waves. sorry.

It's funny because no one wants this one now, but what if it comes with debossed lettering, or a really cool paint effect? Would you get it?

I'll have to get this to put next to the French release of the remake and then hope Eureka bring out 'The Thing From Another World'. :scat:

you know that the 2011 The Thing wasn't a remake right? It was a prequel that leads directly up to the events of the original Carpenter one.

I wish this case was going to look better but sadly the horizontal steel with sub-par art will kill a steel that was highly desired

correct but the 1982 John Carpenter one was a remake of "The thing from another world" 1952.

I'd argue that the The Thing 2011 IS a remake poorly disguised as a prequel. I know I'm just arguing semantics, but this new one was basically the '82 movie with a chic instead of Mac, and a bunch of mediocre CGI.... and side characters I didn't care about.

Still arguing semantics (sorry, bored right now ;)... but I'd call the '82 The Thing more of separate take on the source material. As far as I remember (haven't seen TTFAW for ages), it pretty much ignores the '52 movie and goes straight back to the book.

i cannot wait for this film.... this is much better then the new one they made....
