Warner have the worst matte finishes. Always seems to be washed out

as expected really, that low quality finish which only looks any good if you angle it right (on the back)
inside art has no thought gone into it, the front is ok though I guess.
glad I didn't bother with this - ive grown tired of steels now, reduced my collection from 400 down to around the 200 mark.
only interested in owning decent films in decent steelbooks - pretty much anything with printed backs (instead of jcards) have gone, any with no inside art have gone.
next will be anything with cheap paintjobs and bad artwork.

with that in mind, even at £4.99 I won't be getting this.
its a shame the ES have had such a bogstandard release, as they have had some quality steels previously, but perhaps the price of this is indicative of what quality to expect.

The boxes arrived the other day but because of 12 hour shifts at work this week i've been unable to get round to these until now

Anyway, onwards and upwards! Here are the boxes:

Here they are, all the ladies have been stripped naked! Garments thrown to the side:

I'm hoping to send as many steels as i can on Tuesday - the bubblewrap i ordered hasn't arrived so im wrapping as many as i can with what i have here!

If they (for whatever reason it may be) can't do a full gloss finish I wish they'd use some spot gloss a bit more often. I was looking at The Untouchables steelbook today - matte finish but very nice use of spot gloss front AND back - it's touches like that that make steelbooks special.

yep some spot gloss steelbooks are the best,i got shooter today and i love the gloss on marky,true grit comes to mind too

If I had to have only one I would take gloss over embossing. I assume embossing is the cheaper of the two.

Yep Shooter, Drive, Thor to name but a few all look awesome The streaky finish is another thing - again Untouchables, Drive all devoid of this.

Everything about Drive is just quality. Even the slip is a really nice card stock.

I take it back. Received this yesterday and I'm in love with it! The pictures don't do it any justice, the bullet holes are very nice. No gloss, matte finish but I really like it, pleasantly surprised!
