i so wanted to order this. even set up an account with amazon japan. got to shipping options, and it costs nearly as much to ship as it costs to buy the actual steelbook.
as much as i want it, i cant get away with near on £50 for 1 film. £30 maybe, i could get around the mrs for that.
im gonna have to hope this comes up on ebay so i can get it with paypal funds.

I haven't looked into the total cost, but the Thailand steelbook is exactly the same as this one, with the only difference being the paper backing. It might be cheaper, if you want to investigate how much it would be.

Yeah, I ordered from amazon.jp, but managed to cancel it and order 2 copies from yesasia...
Would hate to deal with the customs charges on a amazon.jp order of that much into the UK..

No charges for me, but since it was sent EMS, the USPS requires a signature before delivery.
I want to share how great a job hmv.co.jp did.
1) They bubble wrapped the steelbook.
2) They placed the steelbook in a cardboard box.
3) They placed the box in an oversized bubble mailer.
The result? Steelbook arrived in wonderful, defect free shape.

No fees since it was sent EMS, which is delivered by the US Postal Service when it enters the US.

Glad to hear Andy, it's a nice steelbook! Now if I can convince myself to open it and watch it, since I have not seen it
Mine arrived today from Amazon after exorbitant shipping fees then customs & VAT on top. Think would still get customs chg in UK if came by EMS from HMV. Now looking to get Biohazard IV Afterlife but seems only Amazon sell it.

Amazon.jp packaging is crap, just a cardboard envelope. Had 2 damaged steels from them.
Anyone know if this is region A only?

The US disc was region locked so I presume the steelbook disc will be too.
My 2 arrived in perfect condition too, but mine was only lightly wrapped in bubble wrap and then in a plastic bag mailer, not great, but still arrived perfect, so no complaints. Love yesasisa, no customs or vat...very happy...
