They have to have a border to be embossed, this way, the embossing doesnt stick out further than the steelbook

It can work well without the border. Hunger Games District 12 is a fine example. In fact, it is nicer that way.

But for this artwork, I prefer the clean look.

Option 3 probably means "I don't care either way". That's my psychic translation of that anyway .

Glad 50.85% chose no embossing. That's absolute majority, no round #2 needed, it should be put into motion .

It's much brighter and more colorful without embossing, it's the logical option imo.

Besides, I find it pretty weird that the price would apparently have been higherer had it been embossed .

If sadly they still decide to go with embossing, it wouldn't be that bad. Either way, I'm looking forward to this.

We've been over this a million times in different threads.

A steelbook has to have a border to be embossed. And yes the Hunger Games steelbook DOES have a border. It's just the circle which functions as a border. It doesn't have to be thar 'frame-border' look, but unfortunately we have no other options for this UP steel. So it has to be embossed with border, or no embossing at all.

I assume it depends on how much sway the poll put on this site is given in all this. Cobine the two results and embossed leads by 30. Unless I'm unaware of something in the embossing process it shouldn't make much difference to the process re colour etc anyway. Given the overall closeness of the voting it's a shame both options can't be available.

A even bigger majority voted for embossing on this forum. A tough decision coming up for Blufans. They should probably stick with the result of the Blufans vote, then again I imagine the majority of sales come from group buys on this forum

It does cost slightly more for special treatments like that, not much though, I think it's probably a couple of $ at most.

It is not the preorder start date of the HDN group buy.

I don't get this. I thought this was getting embossed with border and house and then the poll was set up as the border was controversial. The border look won the poll by more than double the results:

yet we've got clean artwork with no emboss? Is there a reason why?
