Not sure I'm diggin the Chinese text splashed across the cover of the slip right in the middle.

Seems to distract from the image more than anything, taking over the entire cover in a way.

And btw... it that seriously how you write "UP" in Chinese? It looks like a sentence. wth

It loosely translates to 'The Journey of the Flying House', at least I think it does. :p

Soooo... is that the name of the movie then? Cause honestly I thought this movie was named "UP".

like I said... wth?

The title of most non Chinese movies are not literally translated into their Chinese equivalent wording. Nor are they translated into the phonetic equivalent. Instead the Chinese title is a description of the film, or the subject plot.

Maybe a silly question but what's the difference between 2d and 3d slip? Also has the box set been on sale yet?
As domalorite explained.
The literal translation for 'Up' in mandarin would leave more people scratching their heads I'll wager. :hilarious:

Oh...the Chinese title on cover is so big I think.......
Then 3d version is the same front image of 2d version But just in lenticular?

I have faith the 3D slip is an original image different from the 2D slip, otherwise There Will Be Anger, even if it's a lenticular :D.

I've got to say, after looking at that 2D slip which looks identical to the steelbook (only the house is smaller), if I had pre-ordered that slip I would be a bit disappointed.

Makes me even more excited to discover what the 3D slip looks like .

I wonder what's taking so long, because I'll say it again : we were warned that Disney had refused the 2D slip (which is why BluFans had to go another way quickly and thus it's now roughly the same look as the steelbook itself, only the house is farther). So why is the 3D slip the one taking longer to produce, and the one for which we don't know the slip yet :dunno:?
