BTW, OZ could be the last group buy here. Thank You all for your past and future supports!

To clarify, OZ could be Kevin's last group buy here, not the last BluFans group buy on this forum.

I've spoken directly with the admin / owner of BluFans who has stated that is willing to work with HDN and me in the future.

How this plays out is yet to be determined, but thank you to Kevin for all his efforts on behalf of this forum to bring you guys releases that you normally wouldn't have the chance to get.

I think we've shown the potential success of any steelbook release can be impacted by members and group buy hosts here. :oohyeah:

Great news, and once again many thanks to Kevin

And finally...here's some positive news for members of my group buy - you know how some of you guys got the lower numbers?

Well, on two group buys that I've been the hub, the people shipping BluFans to me have put all the lower numbers in one box.

So instead of me just sending that box on without any thought to it, or just sending out each box, 1 at a time (ship a box and then move to the next one).

I set aside those low numbers and as I'm shipping out in waves, I pick a few on each wave to get sent out - so everyone no matter at what time they get shipped from my hub, EVERYONE has a chance to get a low numbered steelbook.

Just curious if you guys get that level of service in other spots.

Whether or not Oz will be Kevin's last group buy, I just wanted to join in and thank him for all the work he's done for us greedy steelbook collectors. While I'm still a bit new here, bluraysteel has helped me (and I imagine many of us) tremendously. Whether it be hosting a group by that we wouldn't normally be able to get, being an A+ seller or just being a great member of the community overall.

I can only imagine what kinda of work and potential stress could come from doing group buys, especially large ones. I personally don't think I could ever do one myself, ha. I don't know if this is the reason why Kevin might not be hosting group buys anymore or if for other reasons, but either way, it sounds like it's a large task to take on while still dealing with life outside HDN. I'm glad there's people that's willing to do these group buys. So for that, I thank you as well.

So seriously, thank you mate! Whether or not you're done hosting group buys, you've been one of the best.

Also big thanks to Andy (apsmith21) and the whole crew. It's great news that no matter what Kevin decides, us greedy steelbook collectors may still probably get our hands on these beautiful Blufans releases.

****

As to keep this a bit more on topic, I am uncertain I want to open my Wreck-It Ralph steelbook. Not because I'm afraid there will be scratches or dings, but because I have yet to open any of my Blufans steels. If there are scratches on my WIR steel, I can deal with it. Yeah, it's a bit disappointing I bet, but it just be that way sometimes. Don't really blame anyone.

So, to open or not to open? What's the general consensus about opening up your Blufans exclusives? :)

Yup, big thanks to bluraysteel for his efforts, whether or not Oz is his last GB.

I believe he's in Canada and obviously the steels come from the Far East. As such there is a lot of responsibility on him and we don't credit him enough for his checks/returns/replacements that we then give him a hassle over.

Andy's contact with blu fans to look for a way forward is commendable.

I think the trick to dealing with blu fans is if they could ship to 3 or 4 hubs and then for us to have people in place to redirect.

We get a lot of Orders for USA, Canada, UK and Germany as well as other countries.

If we had people in the big countries willing to handle 100-200 orders in future, I would certainly put my name down for, say, UK and Ireland.

You would need someone for say Germany and surrounding countries etc.

That way we take the burden off 1 person doing all the work. We would need blu fans on board but ultimately they are a business and I'm sure would gladly help when we place an order of 500 quite regularly.

If they are willing to deal with Andy directly I cannot imagine they couldn't package up 4 separate bulk orders and ship to 4 hubs for us to redirect to ninjas.

As I say, I can cover UK etc no problem.

I hope other members would be more than willing to help.

Hi, I recently purchased this steel on the UK Ebay and am intending to open it to watch, as I do with all my steels. My concern is if I open it and it is all scratched then what are my options ? Is the ebay seller obliged to take it back as it is damaged even tho it is now opened ? If replacement cases are sent out will I get 1 ? Any advice would be appreciated guys.

As I bought it to watch it then I don't really have much choice then. Have spoke to the seller and he says if I open then there is no returns, or I can just cancel the purchase as its not been posted yet. Tough decision as I want the steel but I don't want a scratched one :ohno: Just going to cancel as it's too much money to gamble on a 50/50 chance it being scratched :(

i think we all know the impact HDN has had with purchasing from BLUFANS,i personally congratulate you to have spoken directly with their ADMIN.at the same time HDN has to embrace this moment and even take advantage of the"power" this forum has.to keep their relationship with us,one of the first things to do which is crucial to keep this going is to negotiate basically the same EXACT price members of that forum are paying for.Choi mentioned that for OZ, he paid around $45 for it if i'm not mistaken.obviously, our group buys here include fees and shipping costs which is necessary.but as far as the actual cost of the steelbook,i have to stress the importance of the equality of paying for the same price.in the end,its a money making business for Blufans.but without HDN,they would lose out in the end and they know it.this gives a lot of leverage when it comes to negotiating for the same price.
i am not aware of the terms with previous purchases from them so you can just take this with a grain of salt if i'm far off base here.just giving my two cents since we are on the verge of starting a "NEW" relationship with them.

Got this today, its amazing. I would like to thank Kevin for helping me out with the group buy, and I am sad to hear he might not be doing it much longer. I really think I might start only buying blufans and Kimchi releases they are worth the extra money..

I'm still fairly new here and already he has helped me with group buys, I cant imagine how much he has helped the guys that have been here for years, so thankyou for all your hard work in bringing the community awesome releases from the other side of the world

Has this come about because of the Wreck-It Ralf group buy or is it something completely unrelated and a personal choice.

For whatever reason I am grateful :)

Can anyone please confirm if they have received there WR with 3D cover from EU Hub I'm still waiting for mine to arrive to me in Switzerland ?
