I agree buddy, and it's a beauty in hand.

I know buddy it's a beauty. Can't believe they are still in stock!! The print run must have been massive. The booklet is also a nice addition. ;)

I got rid of mine to get the French version which is much much nicer.

Same here! Once I had the french steel in hand the UK one went straight in the trash.....:hilarious:

I totally disagree.

1. The French version has French plastered on the front. That destroys it for me straight away.
2. The French version is unlimited, meaning there is no exclusivity about owning it. How many great looking steels go unnoticed due to the endless numbers printed?
3. The English version was released by Play.com. An iconic name in Steelbooks.

If you don't own this version already, read it and weep. Because the price and desirability have gone through the roof lately. The boat has sailed and this is one ship that will not be sinking any time soon.

French version is a beauty as long as your not hung up over the French 'Le Commencement' writing.. Doesn't bother me in the slightest :)

The French text doesn't bother me in the least. I'd rather see that than the printed ratings logos, and the printed back of the Play.com. They didn't even bother to get the logo and the words to fit on the steel either. Oh, you can't forget the French's interior is also better than the Play.com version.

The boat can keep sailing far, far away and never return because I have no desire to board. ;)

That's your opinion and your entitled to it.
But I will take unlimited run, centred artwork with embossing, inside artwork, No ratings logos,No printed back, over the UK version any day!
Also as I spend half the year in Paris the french text is not ever going to be a problem for me. Plus it's a french steelbook so why should it not have french writing on it? :hilarious:

UK version= (Printed back, No inside artwork, Printed Ratings logos on the front) and badly messed up aligning of the front artwork...IMO
And I owned both and threw the UK one away.

Value!! Could not care less....

And as my buddy said that ship can sail away I will not be boarding it anytime soon....:p

My points stand.

And I'm happy for you that you're content with the foreign title and 2 a penny steel you now all own. Besides, isn't this thread for the Play.com version?
