Better not be like the Die Hard Steelbooks where we'll probably not get the third movie in Steelbook form because Disney's 'Buena Vista' have the rights.

The last two Alien films don't need and deserve more releases imho. The first two are both great films and shaped the sci-fi genre. So I'm sitting here, waiting for the first film to be announced getting a steelbook release that doesn't look as cheap as i think the german release does.

I can understand them wanting to gauge interest by releasing the very popular Aliens first but if they're trying to do the same with the 3rd marmite film they're barking up the wrong tree. Surely they know Alien would outsell Alien 3 any day of the week, maybe they don't want to release Alien yet because many will just stop at films 1 and 2.

Believe me, yours truly is encouraging the folks at Zavvi to in turn encourage the studio to consider Alien, one of my all time favorite films. No word has been received on Alien, so this is the way they have chosen to announce these. I did share in advance that the comments you are making here, was exactly what would happen. Only so much the retailer can do-just know that the sentiments of Alien fans have been shared numerous times, along with our poll that I created in the feedback area. Fingers crossed, I will place my order on Friday.

Excellent news, i love ALL the alien films, remember seeing Alien3 on its initial release at the cinema and loving it because it was so different and moody...And i hope the disc includes the 144 minute Fincher Cut which is Superb imo
