The print run is 600 copies each slip for international customers. But what is the print run in total for each slip including for Korea. Is the figure published?

When buying through a GB can you still be hit with customs charges? I won't be able to order a copy on the day so might go for the GB but never joined one before. Are there any downsides when buying through a GB?

With low print run you still might not get a copy as mentioned in the group buy as its depends on number of copies the person running the group manages to get hold of

Our GB hosts in general mark the items lower than cost to help with the customs charges. There are no downsides to a GB hosted on HDN, and steelbooks are handled with care by fellow steelbooks collectors.

As for securing a copy and since you're in the UK, you can join @Masterblaster's GB (link in OP) who mentioned yesterday that he'd be able to fulfil all orders. :)

The GB hosts will mark the value down and as a gift for you so you're probably safe regarding custom charges. :)

Edit. What @Apollon said. ;)

I just hope Novamedia listen to customer requests of having a limit of 1 or to be fair have a limit of 2 per order for all versions

Its still a lot cheaper to order direct than using a group buy and with novamedia packaging been brilliant and the ability to make your order customs friendly its suits me personally better to order direct

End of the day what's important is all who want a copy manage to get an copy be it ordering direct or using a group buy

I can see madness happening on the 4Th of Nov with the attempts to get an order in even with improved servers
Good Luck on the 4Th Nov to all
Anyone who misses out its just unlucky and is part of collecting that we all can miss out with any releases that's very limited as there are only a set number available overall

Actually, you are MORE likely to be charged customs fees as part of a GB. The large parcel from Novamedia to the hub will almost certainly attract customs charges, which will be divided among the GB members.

That blanket statement doesn't address all situations.

The only time I have ever been hit with customs charges in the USA is when it's sent via courier. I used to get hundreds of blufans in and we never got hit once.

There are other ways around this to other countries - smaller parcels, depending on the best price / shipped, etc that can escape customs charges.

But if a package were to be assessed fees, it would be equally divided among all the members in that parcel, that part I do agree with.

Group Buys still more expensive than buying direct
This is what listed in one of the group buys
Steelbook Cost ($) + shipping from KR to me (x$) + import tax (divided among all SBs) + $4 for my time and work (per steelbook for the first , for any after that $3) + shipping to you (x$)

While I do agree its a very helpful service to offer group buys it does end up costing a lot more than buying direct
This is the reason I avoid group buys as its cheaper to order direct and as a collector I will buy at the cheapest option if its a retailer who ships worldwide unless its a release not available to order direct then I would use a group buy or if it was cheaper to use a group buy

Buying Direct with novamedia
$35.99 + Shipping Kpacket $12.00 = Total $47.99

Mark as merchandize $19.99 on invoice and packaging
Big chance of no customs fess
Brilliant Packaging in a box with lots of bubble wrap

What's the price of Drive Steelbook with the Group Buys compared to buying direct with Novamedia and do persons running a group buy get any bulk order discounts and is this passed onto the people in a group buy meaning the cost price reduced to reflect this

If full price with shipping was similar with only a small fee then this would be a brilliant second option as I do understand its hard work to run a group buy as I would not expect this service to be free

Note
Sorry if my post annoys anyone but as Drive is very limited due to the very limited print run for overseas

I have to ask this very important question
The Group Buys are they separate to the overseas print run if they are then that's fine or are they from the overseas print run
I would like a confirmed answer to this as its important to know what the print run is available for me to order direct is the print run still 600/600/100

It wasn't a blanket statement, the question and answer referred to John's GB for this steelbook.

Folks, lets move on from this circular discussion. Members are asking for assistance via group buys, and our site has always offered to help via established and experienced group buy leaders. Whether it costs more or less, it comes down to wanting to obtain the Steelbook somehow, and still getting it at a fair price (vs Ebay). Any small fee for HDN group buys goes back to support this site's operation, maintenance, giveaways and other community associated costs. Any tips you decide to send to other group buy leaders are up to you and for the effort it takes to constantly package up all of these items, and provide customer service via countless messages, and bundling with other items that a group buy leader may be holding. Our members have several options to add titles to their collection. How stock is allocated at the individual company can be addressed to whatever company in question-we have no idea how they choose to do this-this is their decision. Please feel free to reach out to them if you feel it's necessary. Lets please get back on topic here. Thanks all.
