The USA group buy for Lone Survivor that we conducted ended up exact same price or cheaper on some then ordering direct Paul. Just an FYI. So no need to wade through the madness of ordering time, and package received just the same if not cheaper and faster. So perhaps you should provide clarity as your speaking on the other group buy and not the USA one. Oh and in 7 years collecting thousands of packages received I got charged customs once. That's typical in USA.

You may make some valid points, but the FINAL question should be ... DO YOU LIKE THE PRODUCT YOU ARE BUYING? Cause guess what, a small company like novamedia doesnt want to ship 4,000 individual packages, or 2k, or 1600 or whatever #s it equals out to when with people buying 3 etc. If you were having to ship that many out you'd want to blow your head off. I know I would esp after doing it once. (like they have)

So if they can ship one big box off and knock out 10-50 orders etc then its in their best interest logistically. This is not Amazon, Best Buy or Zavvi we're talking about. And as you noted by how awesome the packaging is that should tell you how much longer it takes to ship packages.

So if you want awesome titles like this to continue in this amount of qty then these types of logistics have to happen. Otherwise they'll just start negotiating lower runs and higher prices for everyone and many more people can miss out.

So the group buys are also helping out NovaMedia not just financially but logistically as well. If you want to sit at your keyboard banging F5 to get your order in and feel the rush, so be it. No one is knocking you for it. Have fun. The other option is people can reserve with GBs and skip that. Sometimes at cost, sometimes for a few bucks more, but that is their choice to make for the service and peace of mind.

Thanks for your post Wreck and I do understand its a benefit to HDN and for Novamedia or another retailers to sell all their stock as quick as possible but that's was a title you can still order today as its not selling well and would be a massive benefit to a retailer to ship copies that they might not of got ordered in the first place

I also do think its a brilliant option to have a group buy but this release is different to a point mostly due to its very limited and a very popular release with lot of demand and would sell out without any group buys

My posts and others would not have been made if this was not so limited and lot of us order direct with the likes of Kimchidvd and you don't see group buys with their releases and they also have releases that are similar with print runs and popular titles

If drive was not a popular release none of the discussions of group buys would not have even happened or if the print run was lot bigger

If any of my posts caused offence that was not my intention

PS
Thanks for your offer to help me out if I miss out on getting an order in

Thanks
Paul

What dollar amount should one put when they're asked to input the invoice value when placing an order through nova for a U.S. customer?
