According to the information in Zavvis own listing:

Special Features:
  • Disc One: Feature
  • Disc Two: Bonus Features: Additional Scenes with Introduction by Martin Scorsese
  • Stranger Than Fiction: The Story of the Bottom Mob: The Real-Life Gangster Behin
  • Crossing Criminal Cultures: How Little Italy's Crime and Violence Influence Scorsese's Work
  • Theatrical Trailer
And then under the 'product details' tab on the same listing:

Number of Discs:
  • 1
:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::banghead:
I bought the Amaray off them and it was the same listing, all the extra's are there but only on the one disc, couldn't be bothered to tell them there listing was wrong...

I know this won't sell out (at least anytime quick) but still debating whether or not to grab one of these- Love the movie, and my brother in law has the DVD copy I owned which I know I won't see again...

Would love to see an 'actual' photo of this though- Think the best example I can point to on this is the Enter The Dragon steelbook; I pre ordered it (loved the movie, but I was less than impressed with the mock artwork listed by Zavvi), meant to cancel it, forgot, received it, found out that the actual product was beautiful (Zavvi's picture didn't include the fact that the steelbook had a beautiful blue sheen to it that changed dependent on what angle you viewed the steelbook; it also had a border on it, which again wasn't shown on Zavvi's pictures) and subsequently kept hold of it.

I'm surprised by the near unanimous backlash. This has always been the best artwork for the film. I love the film noir design and was hoping it would be this art. I'm almost always pleased when they use the original poster art. If it were up to you all we'd be getting another "creative, original" version like the recent Fox (Speed, Rocky Horror) and Universal (Casino, The Big Lebowski) waves. And there would be nonstop bashing as well. Poster designers are much more talented artists than home media designers (except for certain labels like Plain Archive).

You people whine about new artwork in the other threads and when they do the original artwork you still whine. And the price whining never stops. :)

Not me!

I agree with you. I've always liked this artwork and will be obtaining the UK Steelbook even though I already have the German one. The differences between them certainly warrant a double dip, as far as I'm concerned.

Just need to wait for a price drop or discount code. I don't intend biting on the current 2 for £30 offer with "Gangs of New York", due to that release being the earlier bad transfer instead of the newly re-mastered disc.

Aww was looking our order showing 23 feb, gutted it's been put back and Gangs of New York

Yes I've too both The Departed and Gangs of New York incoming since I got them with only 16€/steel, a fine price. I'm a bit scared because it can be great or well really ugly, if the finish is horrible. I love both films though so I hope they will be decent steelbooks after all. :)

I haven't been keeping up with this thread as I've never been a big big fan of the movie, but I'm surprised that there's any backlash with the art as it looks great to me (unless I'm missing something).

Trouble is it'll almost certainly be the usual cheap matt finish and/or grainy image that is so common with Zavvi exclusives, so I admit it'll still probably look naff in hand.
