That's right. Zavvi and every company of any size buys postal services en-block for a time period. i.e 12 months @ £ ?(Price dependent on what services they require, of course) and send whatever they please during that time period.

This is great news, but are they going back to the tissue paper as protection as well or are they keeping the bubble wrap in the boxes also?

They've gone back to using 'Tissue Paper' even with the mailer cardboard packaging! 2 of my orders got damaged so badly thanks to these cheap-ass combination.

why oh why do zavvi never learn? i mean, people are still receiving items in A1 mailers with wafer thin protection around the steelbooks which was the very reason so many people received damaged v for vendetta steelbooks. going back to the white boxes is only an improvement if the padding is upgraded as well.
for the record, things have arrived damaged in the past even though they were in the white boxes but i really can't imagine zavvi putting in any more effort than that.

I reckon the amount of damaged returns/refunds has probably risen 10% with the A1 mailers, so Zavvi will be looking to get it back down to what I imagine was previously a very low percentage. This will be a percentage that they are happy with, therefore I don't see them looking to improve on the white boxes.

It's sucks to hear about all your dents I've had 6 zavvi steels in the envelope now everyone in mint condition I've been very lucky
Agreed though scaling down the protection to a flimsy envelope on fragile collectibles is a shocking idea I think Mickey Mouse really is running this company

Received both Aristocats & Huntchback of ND in boxes (separate) today!!!
Not as good as the perfect Play boxes, but still MUCH better than the A1 enveloppe!!!

Received the first steelbook in a while to be in the white-box packaging. Very, very glad that Zavvi has gone back to using them. Especially considering international orders.

Finally? Should have never stopped using the white boxes in the first place. Zavvi could really learn a few things from overseas companies and their packaging.
