Hi All,

It looks like our former thread has become unavailable, so I am posting a new one. Feel free to post pics and share your worst experiences with damaged Steelbooks as received from retailers. I've stickied this one for now.

Thanks,
DB

i've had the opposite luck. Everything ok from ebay sellers, but everything from amazon.fr turning up damaged. My replacement 'Thing' came badly scratched (first batch were all dented - having NO luck getting a decent copy of that one) and Contagion came with paint scuffs and some black goo welded to the front of the steelbook. Pretty poor from amazon.fr recently as they're normally very good. Costing me a fortune to send all this damaged stuff back to France!

of course not, one was described as "absolutely mint". in which universe does absolutely mint means a giant dent?

at least I recorded the unboxing with my phone as proof

Yeah these people must think the dents are part of the steelbook design or something.
Hope you get your money back. Recording the unboxing was definitely a good idea.

my yesasia package is arrived, unfortunately one steel has a huge dent on the back...anyone knows something about their customs service ? do they replace/refund a damaged order ?

You have to send the damaged steel back and they will "inspect" it and send you a new one. They will reimburse you for shipping as store credit :hilarious: I had to return my Narnia Steelbook for a replacement and they just emailed yesterday me that they received it and that they repaid my shipping as store credit. Their cs seems pretty nice and responsive I just don't like the store credit thing since I will probably not shop there again because of their packaging.

I have had minor dings in the past, but this is the worst, most god awful, package I have ever received. Check this out. Anyone in need of some denters?

I received my War of the Arrows dented from YesAsia!
I sent 2 nails via their homepage (1st on April 7th, 2nd on April 20th), NO reply!!! That is ridiculous!!!
Today i used the "send a mail to the CEO" option, let's see if someone answers know...

damn...for some reason, I find it so hard to believe all those steelbook was damage in so many different ways. How was it package? Whatever land on it..no bubble would have protected it...I guessing something 100 pound box land on it and just demolished it.

Ouch...

also, if yesasia does not have a replacement, then you only get a store credit for the whole thing...no refund.

Why did you ACCEPT that parcel/package??? It looks like a truck drove above it and then again backwards!!!
Or was it left by someone at your house?

I would not accept a package in this condition... But i think it was overseas package so usps would just throw it away, so you better took it and ask the seller (in the Netherlands!) for replacements... Hopefully it was insured!!!

They really look horrible, would really be interestig to know HOW they could damage them this way

Che, man I'm sorry to see something like that happen to somebody. It's such a waste. I mean the currier should take into consideration that is somebodies property and that is the same as vandalism. I sincerely hope you get refunded your money or replacements.

Sh*t Che, bet your heart sank whenyou saw that package turn up. I'm gutted for you bud. :(

You remember that opening scene in Ace Ventura when Jim Carey is smashing that box against all the railings and stairs? I can only assume that is what the moron did to your delivery to get them in such bad shape.

I hope it gets sorted out for you without too much stress

It was left at my house, even though it's a signature confirmation. It's a long story about this order. I emailed Bert, I'll see what he says.

Another reason to keep it sealed. Those paper slips hide dents very well!!!

Ouch Che!!! I can tell your pain just from the tone of your voice. Who shipped it to you?
