I must admit I have never emailed amazon about damages as I just go through the automated returns process that's part of the ordering system. To be fair they've always refunded me, but some of the stuff I've sent back was definitely not worth the price of postage as they'd never be able to sell it again. Maybe next time I'll trry emailing and see if they allow a replacement without having to send the knackered one back.
