Mine came in that type of mailer as well but mine was still sealed and my Django is also in mint condition. No spine slashes, or paint chips or anything else.

I went to my local Target store this morning and picked two mint copies. There were more than 20 copies in stock. Later I found some minor paint chips on my copies and went to Target again in the hope that I could find some better copies. To my surprise they are all gone! The ones with scratches, spine slashes, paint chips, minor dings.... all gone. Apparently, most people don't care about minor defects on their steelbooks??

@Bluprint: Great video, man! You sure know how to sell the steelbook. I like your enthusiasm. And I it has grown on me a little bit but there's still plenty to complain about in my eyes but it's no where near a new FS Spider-Man fiasco.

Just wanted to make sure you saw it.

The quality of the Django Target steelbook could have been ALOT better and Futureshop wins in regards to that catogory. But I still favor the artwork and love the Target edition. Both Futureshop & Target leave alot to be desired and I really hope other countries and retailers step up with exclusive designs in steelbook form. Thanks man, and I agree with all your points.

Just got word that my friend picked one of these up for me this morning.

I still prefer the FS for the red/black inside , it stays with the theme , but both will scratch easily if your not carefull , the matte finish sucks , should have been glossy

Yes i Went to my local target today as well had to really look threw alot of copy's and like you said a bunch had spine cuts slashe's on the plastic etc but Lucky me i found a MINT COPY SO HAPPY but yes target YOU GUY'S HAVE TO DO BETTER WITH YOUR PACKAGEING

Looks like another problem with the QC on this steelbook is that the plastic on the inside was no properly trimmed on some of the corners. Therefore, even with the steelbook closed you can see a little piece of plastic sticking out where the two halves meet.

I went back to the Target I went to this morning around 6pm, and they still had about 10 steelbooks left. Wonder how long before they disappear from stores?

I got mine today and I'm pretty pleased. A couple of small chips, but nothing that could be done since you can't see them until you unwrap it. I like the matte finish as well. Overall, I'm happy with this being my very first steelbook.

I went to Target around 7 pm. After checking in the back at the blu-ray section, I learned that they had 4 copies in the front. I went up there and took a look at it. I took one to the counter and asked the guy to take it out of the case. He was holding it close to him, and actually said he was worried that I might run out the door with it.

I noticed some paint missing where you open the steel, on the front part right in the center of the right side, where the front and back touch. That was summarily rejected. I went back to the display and looked at the other copies. They had paint missing in the same place on the back side this time.

I didn't care for the cover art anyway. Stupid if you ask me. I decided that I did not need to buy every popular steel, just those with a good movie and better art than I was looking at. I got a bag of Doritos instead.

Maybe something nicer will come out when this gets reissued to death. I'll be glad I let someone else buy this. Someone always does.

The Target exclusive? A video on a DVD that is sure to be available on demand on youtube. Something I may not have even watched had it been an extra on the normal disc. The DVD would never get watched. So I don't need the Target edition. I never thought I'd see another disc-in-an-envelope since way back in the FS Watchmen days and I think one of the Pirates has one.

Two prongs for a flappy holder in Bluprint's video and no flappy part. What a joke. Did they order the wrong plastic case part? Abundant paint chips per the video? And when I first touched the front cover, it snapped back and forth it was so thin. Crap. This has to be one of the worst steelbook releases.

Welcome KilloWertz and congratulations on your first Steelbook purchase!

Why would you want them [the security tags] in side [the Steelbook case], leaving residue when trying to remove them as theyre an eyesore?

I agree that they're an eyesore but I've had bad experiences with finding dents underneath the J-card, so I find it unsettling when they place security tags or globs of glue between the J-card and the back of the Steelboook. The best solution I've seen in practice was where the security tag was placed on a small piece of paper and slipped inside the case, allowing the buyer to simply pitch the piece of paper after opening. I wish this was a more common practice if they're going to include security tags.

When mine arrives as long as any blemishes are not too large I will just touch it up with a permanent marker. Usually does the trick.
