So basically, the House of Targaryen Blu-ray version will be in less stores (in Canada and/or USA) than the House of Stark Blu-ray version?

I'll take a look on the shelves when I hit the store today and see what they have available.

Interesting question though.

Never saw this show-bloodier/sexier than Spartacus? :naughty:

My wife has read the books and loved them. We only saw the first episode, but if the first one is any measure of the rest of the series, there was a lot of boob...and sex. So, at first glance, I'd say yes on the sexier - not sure on the bloody factor yet. ;)

I thought there was more :boobies: & :ass:, also more :violent: in Spartacus. Having said that Khal Drogo knows how to ride his mount. If you've read the books then the sex was definitely cranked up, but not by a great deal. Nice paperweight that HBO shop is doing btw in the shape of the throne.

Sparticus is almost soft porn. Game of Thrones has the better story & actors plus bigger budget. Tyrion Lanister is one of the best characters ever.

+1 on all your points. Martin writes a good book, just takes an exceedingly long time to write them. Tyrion is played extremely well by Peter Dinklage, he absolutely revels in the part. :scat:

Although I loved the GoT I do have to say the first few episodes were hard to follow. There was a lot going on and viewers just got tossed in without any prior information. It wasn't until episode 3 and on that things sort of begin to make sense. I do feel that perhaps reading the books might give you a better understanding of the show's beginning.

The show itself is fantastic. from beginning to end. Costume design was great and the acting was top notch, especially Peter Dinklage as Tyrion! :scat:

P.S. for any further plot conversation please use spoiler tags! Thanks :D

Thanks for the comments guys-I'll keep it in my Netflix Q...sounds like it would be up my alley. I liked Tudors (uncut US version), Spartacus, etc, and also love the classic epics like Ben Hur, etc etc.
