Some people like them, some people don't, at the very least the discussions are lively.

Their last couple of releases are still available (and reduced) in my local HMV so I wonder with the "Level 2.0" if they're considering changing up their formula, packaging etc?

They have been hinting at changing it for a while. While I don't think they are the best obviously. I do feel they get too much hate.

Honestly part of the reason I have a soft spot for them is simply because it was their Mad Max that got me back into collecting. Before that I had mostly been resigned to second hand bargain hunting. It also coincided with Covid Lockdown and I started pre ordering.

But as for their actual steels. Some of them are super nice and have creative finishes. Their Pacific Rim Silk Screen being a great example.

I haven't owned a single one of their releases, until yesterday when I ordered The Matrix as it's reduced to £19.99.

I'm not interested in all the guff that came with it but the steel itself looks nice and I wanted the 4k disc

Mad Max TOC was great. I liked how Mad Max and V For Vendetta both had mini steelbooks. I thought that was a cool idea, but for some reason they only did that for 2 of the releases. I am also hoping they switch from the plastic cases.

So I know how you all love Titans of Cult and it looks like they are going to announce #20 today or very soon anyway. They have teased something though and I am thinking it's Dune. But I am open to ideas.

They have even stated they are doing something special for 20 and I honestly am holding out hope with such a big gap between releases they have ditched the plastic slips.
I wonder if I should waste time contemplating what movie they could mean, or if all of that - level 2.0, the shady L down there, what looks to me at least, etc - is only referring to their '2.0 next generation' design upgrade...

I have all of their release and there are a few very nice steels in terms of a design but they are very far away from being even close to a premium. They must increse quality control and should start wrapping steels to avoid scratches. It would be nice to see their design in a full gloss steel for a change.

OK, so they've started to include amarays rather than steelbooks!?! :naughty:

Curious to find out what they are proposing though...

They have a few legit really goos steels. And honestly some of the premium steels are not always amazing. As I have said before if they just switch to a nicer slip and have a little more consistency *cough casino royal is ***** then they could at least scratch the door of premium.

Soooo, they have a new style of box. I can't quite tell yet if it is still plastic though. It would be a real shame if they change it but keep as plastic. It almost looks similar to a Vinegar Syndrome Ultimate box at least from a design point of view. If they have it with a nice magnetic clasp and if it's rigid it could actually be really nice.

Gonna say they'll follow the trend and go with rigid slipcase and PET slip. I'm OK with that
According to their rep its a rigid case. From the photos it definitely is some sort of horizontal folding case. They will likely drop more details throughout the day but honestly I'm intrigued.
