Some Horror titles I've watched recently that I'd recommend:

MAMA
THE CHANGELING
HOUSE AT THE END OF THE STREET
THE COLLECTION
VHS
THE POSSESSION
THE UNBORN

I watched Mama last night, Good film i thought. I brought it on release because it had a nice lenticular slip then forgot to watch it :rolleyes:

Check it out DB ;)

I LOVE HORROR as long as it has a point :D.

Not the usual lone house in the middle of nowhere,Or the creepy noises that thicko's just HAVE to investigate :drool:.

I have pre ordered The Addams Family and World War Z :oohyeah:.

The Possession is worth a watch . Stigmata too oldie but goldie . Watched the Awakening the other night Dougray Scott and Imelda Staunton Not a bad it had a decent plot as F/X :ohno:.

The Addams Family???? Horror????? :hilarious::hilarious:

Wrong thread mate. Should be in the kiddies thread!! :hilarious:

I have to disagree :cool:.

YES it is aimed at kids but the whole Gothic look some ADULT horror movies could learn a lot from how dark and brooding the background is :thumbs: .

I whould much rarther watch that than some made to formula gore that sends me to sleep rarther than keep me awake at night :drool:.

I agree it is not scary because we understand it :p. :D

My two kids laid an egg when they first watched it. That is what we lose as we grow up. The cynicism of life creeps in and we forget the simple things.

Halloween is for ALL ages so why not include the kids films even IF to us they are not dark / gory enough.

Hell I'm mid 40's and refuse to grow up I find it nice to have a horror (Ish ) film that the whole family can enjoy.

Really Really looking forward to Hansel and Gretel Witch hunters warning on it Gore and violence Okay .NOTHING about the language I Turned it off after 30 minutes as it was inappropriate for my kids EEK!. Had a family film afternoon ruined by a misleading raiting sticker:angry:.

I WONT HAVE THAT PROBLEM with The Addams Family SUITABLE FOR ALL ages :thumbs::movie::drool:.

Hey Scary-great point! Since my wife hates horror, I will be watching the Simpsons Horror Tree House eps, haha. Everyone has a different spin on Halloween! And while this is the horror thread, I see nothing wrong with members having their own little marathons of films that work for them. :thumbs:

Saw Mama and a few others on your guys' lists. A few years ago I also watched 'The Last Exorcism'...the end and some of the scenes with the 'possesions' were pretty scary, imo.

Yeah, H&G is definitely NOT for kids.

Maybe try 'The Gate' or 'Monster Club'. 'Monster House' is good also.

I WISH someone whould have told me that LAST weekend :hilarious:.

The 12 year old girl wants more EEK!.

Our 10 year old boy is more tramatised now than he was before :D.

The housband well after a heated discussion and me raming the case under his nose yelling "READ IT", has now stipulated that I watch before we all do.

SUCH A CHORE !!:LOL::oohyeah::movie:.

Good Horror is SO hard to find.
