Thanks to Fan_of_Gaming from the BD Forums.

According to a Futureshop empoloyee who is quite credible, There will be a Futureshop exclusive for the Jurassic Park Trilogy.

Guess this makes up for the other copy getting canceled. Can't wait for this one! Will try and update more when more news comes out.

With all the pics that are being posted. I just have a sneak feeling that FS will be releasing this as a G2, especially as the pic on their own website shows G2 and they state only 3 discs. Maybe they had a change of heart after the cluster f@ck that was Fast Five.

I kinda like it better than the tin but I have no way of getting a hold of this. Sucks.

I'd definitely be interested if someone was going to host a group buy on this guy!

I'm sure many of our Canadian members wouldnt mind helping, they just probably dont want to host a group buy on such a pricey item. I believe the price will drop as well like many others, but as it stands close to $100 a pop, that can add up very fast with multiple orders.

My best advice for those looking to obtain this is to find a CA member you are more comfortable and trusted with and then offer to paypal the money in advance by like a week. That should give the member plenty of time to transfer the funds to his/her bank account for them be able to source these editions without a hassle.

Sheesh....I'll wait til the price drops a bit. That's steep!

Yeah, that's what I'm waiting on. cause with tax, this is currently coming in at like $89.25 and thats not counting shipping.

I plan to wait for this to hit the store shelves and then I can officially determine whether or not its a G1 or G2 and worth buying or not. I'd rather spend the money on a G2 non-steelbook case than a G1 Steelbook.
The only steelbooks I've seen FS drop the price on initially was the Harry Potter's.
Originally they were all listed at 29.99 and I preordered them all. Then they went to 19.99 so I canceled my order and reordered them.
I have a feeling we won't see a big price drop on this one.

Against all hope, I'm praying that FS have had a change of heart and made this G2. The pic looks G2 (though that may be due to stretching) and the fact that the website states only 3 discs. One can only hope.

+1

Even though our steelbook sources have stated different, I'm right there with you (hoping that Universal decided G2 in the end) :)

Man, can't wait to pick this one up, been wanting to see JP in 1080P forever!!... don't really care if its G1 or G2, with a 3 movie set you want it to stand out from your collection anyways, so G1 is fine with me.

There isnt enough time for it be made into G2 now, nor would they scrap all the rest.

G1 is fine by me, I'm starting to accept it. I got 2 Hurt Locker G1s, Sucker Punch, soon this and Fast Five ... I need a few to make the shelf look normal :p

but like everyone else, I totally PREFER G2

No way, dude, if we keep accepting them, they may become 'the norm'..making G2's a slimmer and slimmer possibility...ugh. But to each their own :scat:
