Just got back from seeing this and I was in awe! Loved it. Felt
Like the same world from the 1st one just much more crazier!
Raptors are incredible too.
Can't wait to see more films (cough cough... new Star Wars) at my new local IMAX. Although I'll go easy at £16 a ticket! But this was the first film they was showing and just had to do it. There was also a group of people dressed up as everyone from the first film. Was hilarious. Should of got a photo

Wow, people liked this?

Just saw it and I hated it... Yes there was some decent action and thriller moments, but wow, this movie was bad! I would prefer part 3 over this one.
22 years of computer animation make a movie that looks cheaper and more unrealistic than the original one and The Lost World!

Idk what movie you saw but Jurassic World was excellent. CG was def not worse than the originals lmao. I know this may be an unpopular opinion, but I watched the original right before going to the theater and I actually liked this one better as it was a bit more entertaining. I know originals always get the glory because it was the first and it was groundbreaking for its time but Im personally not going to give it the crown because of that. Jurassic World was an epic captivating experience imo. I thought the new dinosaur would be a bit lame but delivered as a worthy and fearsome foe/obstacle for the story. And the way it was dealt with at the end was just awesome. The plot was a bit simple and straightforward but not bad and the main attraction(the dinos) all looked great. Im sorry you didnt like it but I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

I loved the original, in fact it is my favorite film of all time. I can still remember seeing it in my hometown theater. Looking at the screen and thinking wow that's a dinosaur, it was truly magical. For me this film had no chance of capturing that magic and that's fine it doesn't take away from the fact that Jurassic World is a great film. JP was more about how dinosaurs were just animals while JW expanded on the more modern tones of corporate greed an how it goes to far. JW is more of a monster flick and (sorry to say so @bloodsnake007 ) more of what I wanted the most recent Godzilla to be. JP had more suspense but JW had more action so I could see where you thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you @nkb32 for sharing you opinion about the film.

Yup I agree with you and understand your perspective. I never saw JP in theater so I unfortunately wasnt able to experience that magic. But I loved JW for all the reasons you described. Monster flick and good action. Suspense of JP was gripping the first time i did watch tho and the reason I love that one so I will give it that.

Just got back from seeing it! Was going to go tomorrow... But I couldn't wait.

LOVED IT. Really felt like it paid tribute to the first Jurassic Park.
Certain moments and the structure of the film were actually very similar to JP (But yet also I felt like this was its own thing).
Finally a worthy sequel for this franchise!

Just saw it too and yes I too enjoyed this very much - it is a worthy summer action flick 'cos my boy Chris Pratt is in it

It is not so much about the CG dinosaurs as in the original JP but this one is as most has said is more of a monster flick. This is surprising to me since the director is not known for making action/monster movies. Oh yes, also definitely watch this in 3D and on the biggest screen possible.

I might go watch it again

I did see Jurassic World, and I really hated almost every minute of it. If it was not for some action and thriller moments I probably would have left the cinema before the movie was over. I do understand that when you go and see a movie like this you don't need to expect much of a story, but this story and ALL the characters were so bad and annoying that the biggest problem with it is that T-rex did not eat them all, because that would have gave me some satisfaction...Most of the time it felt to me that they wanted to make a comedy movie with all the bad and misplaced joked instead of a worthy sequel to Jurassic Park. This was for me the biggest problem. The other thing is the CG. I would prefer the animation of the original ones... But that is my opinion :)

Saw this last night on IMAX 3D and it was very entertaining. Bigger screen definitely helped and I thought the 3D was good. And yes, like most posters and reviewers are stating, the last 20 minutes are worth the price of admission and better than anything from JP 2 and 3 in my opinion.

Pros:
- Awesome dinosaur action; particular the ending action scene
- Good variety of dinosaur species and great mix of dino on dino action and dino on human action
- The actual Jurassic World theme park has a lot of potential
- Lots of nostalgia value in both the visuals, the props and music

Cons:
- Lots of characters doing stupid things or making stupid decisions. I feel like it’s unforgivable in this movie because they acknowledge Jurassic Park was it’s predecessor and yet they have learned nothing from that mess
- Brother/family story was weak and underdeveloped
- Indominus Rex was cool, but it’s strengths and powers and background needed more fleshing out
- Pratt was decent, but he’s much more engaging when being charming and funny than being a tough, bad ass

Overall I loved this movie and it’s a worthy sequel/reboot of the Jurassic Park. I can’t emphasize how much I enjoyed the last action scene and if you had any love for the first movie, you need to watch this movie just for that scene. Yes, it’s obvious and a little forced, but it’s so entertaining and applause worthy the flaws can be overlooked. The scene was really well done and props to Trevorrow for his direction. My rankings: Jurassic Park, Jurassic World, The Lost Word, JP3. Looking forward to the inevitable sequel to this.
