Medal of Honor Megathread

Electronic Arts' reboot of the Medal of Honor series will be out this October, the publisher announced this morning.

The game, set in Afghanistan and with a realistic slant, will be out in the US on October 12. And Europe October 15.

Medal of Honor, the first game in the series to not take place between 1939-1945, looks set to fill a gap in the shooter market left vacant by Modern Warfare 2, when the latter tripped the light fantastic and became a Tom Clancy wet dream. It'll feature sand, terrorists being kicked out of windows, and beards. Magnificent beards.

Yea I remember those days I was the only fool on it on PS3....and everyone kept saying get on COD4 and the rest is history.

I gotta say I did finish that damn game before I sold it off. Unfortunately no trophies...LOL

Like any high profile release these days, EA's Medal of Honor reboot is going to have a big demo multiplayer beta. Want to know how to get in on the action?

If you're a Battlefield Bad Company 2 VIP, and preorder Medal of Honor, you'll be able to enter the beta on June 17. Which is this Thursday.

If you're a Regular Joe, you can simply sign up along with everyone else and start playing on June 21. There'll be two maps available, and the beta will run on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

If you need any further motivation, remember, Battlefield specialists DICE are the ones responsible for Medal of Honor's multiplayer.

Well if you get it new you also get the older game free! So it's 2-for-1... like with COD: Classic.

And I'm sure it'll have trophies, so that's awesome news for me!

You are welcome. I need some people to play with. Though I recommend not playing till they fix the freezing issue. Whenever you get a killstreak of 3 or more it freezes. DICE is aware and trying to fix it. And this is a real beta, not just the beta demo that BFBC2 was.

So any input you guys have I will add to an EA glitch thread, that I have made.

I can't seem to get beyond the beta key redemption portal. Damn the server being overloaded!
