Amazon own a lot of regional sites, doesn't mean that artwork will be the same on each. The artwork was misleading because there's no guarantee that it will the same design. Just because they are visually similar, doesn't mean they are the same. Safe House BB exclusive looked the same as the UK version, but look how that turned out. I'm not trying to cause trouble, i'm just saying that it's wrong to make assumptions.

Snooli-from years of collecting, staff here is sharing that Futureshop and Best Buy (owned by the same company) release the same Steelbook. One of the two retailers may negotiate the Steelbook before the other, and the other may share the run-hence why one will have the studio approved art work before the other retailer. Futureshop is much faster with posting actual art work because Steelbooks are a long part of their Exclusives history-this is the reason the picture is usually used by whoever posts. Safe House BB and UK Exclusives were negotiated by different people and across different territories (Futureshop and Best Buy are still both in North America and owned by the same company). The Amazon sites are all part of the same umbrella, but need to work within completely different studio/territories, distribution arrangements, etc, and may have different artwork, stickers, covers, etc etc.

Many, many retailers often post 'preliminary' art and then it is changed several times later. At this site, info is posted as long as it is correct, which is why I encouraged people to wait and see as there is not 1st hand confirmation based on multiple sources that it is a G1. Based on Futureshop's pic, which usually has the same Steelbook as BB (unless it is an Exclusive, which this is not), it will be a G2. If we find out that this Steelbook is a G1, we will simply add it to the title for the community, so they know, and move on. This site has received no 1st hand info that this will be a G1, but again, the studio ultimately decides, and last minute changes are not unheard of.

Buff, yeah pic was posted a few pages back which contributed the whole 'G1' discussion. We'll have to wait and see, sometimes those mockups are deceiving. And sometimes the studio decides and info is clear as mudd for the collectors. They can keep it if it's G1, I'll go with Japanese or UK ed if it's DVD-sized...just not interested, personally.

ack! pretty much as i have guessed :( The problem is by the time i get it, might be out of stock to replace. hm. After all the problems BB is having i doubt they'll be performing any process improvements lol.

Amazon used to be bad about single steelbooks but now they seem better. They shrinkwrap it on a sturdy cardboard backing instead of just throwing it in the box and sending it off.

Here's a pic from my FS flyer (sorry for the French writing)... Let's hope that the picture from BB was just stretched...

BB usually ships in a cardboard mailer that conforms to the shape of the item, with a 'zipper' type enclosure, unless you have multiple items (but even then I have received them separately, because it depends on their logistical handling from different service centers, and process for your shipment).

well over on the BD forum it's confirmed has a G2 with picture of the steelbook next to the amaray version and both the same size.:oohyeah:

oh and it mentions the extened edition on top of the j-card.
