I could care less about the extras to be honest. Give me exclusive artwork on the steelbook that nobody else has done or why the hell bother? Slip covers with an image that lines up on the spine is not enough to get my juices flowing. Apart from the spine image gimmick the slips are just freaking ugly IMHO.

That said if I didn't already have these steelbooks I probably would have snapped this set up but it would have been for the great steelbooks not the "original" stuff wrapped around them.

Haha, weren't you all over the Monsters U Kimchi release? What was so exclusive about that? A shiny lenticular cover and a student ID card to show off to fellow preschoolers?

I like the kimchi monsters u but I am not gushing all over the place about it. Its a great release at a pretty good price. If I already had that steelbook though I doubt very much I would have jumped on it just to get a numbered card and slip cover. There is no hypocrisy here...I admitted already that if I didn't have the three into Darkness Steelbooks that I probably would have got these.

That comment was directed straight at blufans who I hold to a higher standard than anyone else out there. I demand and expect more from them because they have raised the bar on unique and exclusive steelbooks up to this point but these three simply fall short IMHO.

Regarding Kimchi's Monsters U - I was going to buy SOMEONE'S release of that design and IMHO the Kimchi version is the best of them. I'm only buying it once though no matter what comes out down the line.

Great looking set so glad I managed to secure one, that see-through slip and BF sticker on the front is a nice touch and give it the extra factor for those who bought the Tril-pack set

I thought there was going to be matching numbers on the spine of each on the triple version but I can't see anything in the above photos.

Or did I make this up, and just need more sleep ?

The numbered sticker is on the back of the set and not on the spine bud

Saw that, but thought somewhere along the line, as a special for the triple pack, the numbers would be on the spine to show they were a matching set.

But in this case it is a bit much... But looks great as a Set IMO
