I missed out on Peter Pan though and hope it goes back in stock :watch:

Glad I ordered Peter Pan when I could, but it shipped 9 days ago and no sign of it. Missed out on some other Disneys, but what's more annoying is when you thought you had one in the bag, but still lose out.

I came in late so missed out on some of the first titles, but have been catching up thanks to some fellow Ninjas and Ebay.
Now just need 3 more, Frozen, Wreck It Ralph and Cinderella. If someone has extras let me know.

Fantasia, Lion King and Frozen are the only ones I don't have out of the 30 now. Lion King because I have the earlier import release, Frozen because of the Blufans release and Fantasia because I can't stand it. I ended up effectively replacing it with Nightmare Before Christmas, not one of the collection but a better fit for me. So much money spent but I'm very happy to have them and very eager for no.31 to be revealed as there's a good dozen or so I'd happily buy yet.

Anyone dare to do their top 30 in this collection in order of best to worst? XD

My best 3 for artwork would be, Bambi, pinochio and snow white. The most disappointing would be dumbo. I would need to take them all out to grade them though, just going by my reaction to when I received them. Once they have gone onto the rack they haven't come of.

For the pixars it would be Brave by a mile.

My total Disney count is 50 steels, including pixars and other disneys like nightmare before xmas, cars 2, maleficient, rocketeer etc plus I have 3 aladdins, 2 alice in wonderlands ( double ordered by accident ), 2 uk nemos and 1 german nemo 3d.

The one Disney I would love for a hd remaster/steel would be duck tales the movie -

If you also want a duck tales, give me a woo hoo.

Not gonna do a full list as I don't own them all, but best steels I own (in no order);
- The Little Mermaid
- Wreck It Ralph
- Frozen

Least impressed with;
- Dumbo
- Jungle Book
- Fox and the Hound

The matte finish lets some of them down IMO, and I'm not a fan of borders on steelbooks as a general rule.

Fantasia could have been amazing with a gloss finish and a better blended image on the back, Dumbo looks dull and random embossing on Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs lets it down to me.

Including the Pixar titles, I dislike Brave the most. Silver edging for no apparent reason, and half the horses face cut off! Poor design in general. Monsters University has a dull design, lots of wasted space, a poor finish and doesn't even match the others (similar to Frozen).

I like The Little Mermaid because it uses teaser art rather than new modernised images (half of the princesses no longer look like who they're meant to be). Overall though, my favourite design is probably Tangled. The colours work really well, I don't mind the border as some of the image goes across it and the embossing makes sense. I also like the film which helps.

Outside the animated titles, I'd say that Zavvi's Maleficent is probably the best. Glossy, well designed with well thought out embossing/debossing. I don't mind the solid black back either (sometimes simple works best).

If only Disney had aligned the titles on the spine... Shame they're all over the place.

THREE? So that's why I didn't get one? :)

Sorry bud, I learned very quickly that I cant afford to order more than 1 copy of each disc to cover for dents and scratches. If I was ever to sell my steelbooks, I think Aladdin, wreck it ralph and frozen would be some of the few I would make a profit on, to go against the huge loss I would make against my collection. The only bargains I have got was jungle book and mermaid, £9 each. All the rest were full price minus whatever discount code was going about, normally 10%.

With Aladdin though I had 1 pre order with zavvi, I then wanted a 2nd to cover for dents and scratches but it was sold out before release. I ordered one of ebay £25, but that fell through on release day. Then surprise, surprise, zavvi put up the remaining stock on ebay? I think for £18? and I got another 2. Up from the £15 pre order price.

If it makes you feel any better I feel the same towards iron man, thor etc

I could have deleted my Aladdin story, but here is an example of old age, and 1.5 years on -

Just checked my ebay history and I bought 3 aladdins from zavvi outlet for £72 ( was £18 now £24 ) and the one I had ordered from an ebay scalper was for £40, thankfully that got cancelled.

I bought The Jungle Book off ebay and it came the other day, noticed there is no number on J card spine and front says "The Diamond Edition"

Is this a different version to the Zavvi disney collection?
