I hope it is Sleeping Beauty, now that the Blu-ray is scheduled for a June 2nd release in the UK according to amazon.co.uk. Here are the BD and DVD covers.

Disney's Maleficent is coming to theaters soon, so it makes sense if the next title is Sleeping Beauty.

Sleeping beauty must be a firm favourite for one of the releases.
The normal Amaray has a lot to beat with the original blu ray release. The original slip and overall package has been one of the best disney releases I think, in the UK at least.

With only 1 release in May then i hope I can catch up with Dumbo and Fantasia that I am short of.

However I am looking forward to seeing what is coming next.

I just need Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Pinnochio, and Beauty and the Beast, man. Hunchback or Mulan wouldn't go amiss either, nor would Tangled.

Could they use the 50th anniversary cover or not?
I would much prefer this and it would lend itself to Maleficent getting the whole back cover like Cheshire Cat on AIW.

I actually really like the amazon uk's placeholder art for the normal blu-ray. I feel like the steel would play up Mal a whole lot, 'cause of the new movie and all.

DVD art's weeeiiird, though. It looks like Mal's just shared something really embarrassing with the dragon who's like "say WHAAAAAAA???"

17-20 Possible as release dates sort of match June 4th Wednesday (I expect Robin Hood release date to change to June 2 Monday)

If Sleeping Beauty not in 17-20
I expect the next batch it should be in 21-25

The waiting makes it fun and give us time to let them see our wanted lists


I say we will know in about 2-3 weeks what 17-20 will be but I don't expect all to have the same release date

I don't want all to be June 2 or June 4th as already there are lot of Fox Steelbooks for June 2
My Wallet could not take that

I agree that Sleeping Beauty is almost certainly one of the next steelbook releases, especially since it has been bumped forward from an autumn '14 release to cross-promote it with Maleficent.

But I think what is possibly more interesting at this point is the fact that it's a standard release, and not a diamond edition as expected. Certainly the Diamond line seems poised for the chopping block, but is this a hint that Disney's (frankly antiquated) vault system is on its last legs?

We've been saying this for so long (well, I guess I started the complaining but y'know) and it's actually getting crazy now like?? we don't even need to see art yet. just titles. t ell us the titles zavvi/disney/SOMEBODY. this secrecy isn't funny anymore it's just kind of irritating??

and I'm all for the dates being spaced out but that doesn't restrict us from basic details zavvi get ur shizzle together

Hercules - Hercules (The Rock) movie tie-in
Lilo & Stitch - Summer mood
Mulan - because I personally want it as a stand-alone movie without Part 2

Zavvi should really do themes with their Waves instead of Random releases like Mary Poppins and Planes. Themes could be things such as The Disney -John Musker/Ron Clements Wave with 1) The Little Mermaid 2) Aladdin 3) Hercules 4) Treasure Planet 5) The Princess and the Frog. It would kind of celebrate Disney history instead of just throwing them out there hoping they'll sell on its own merit.
