Agreed. 4 releases of the 4th June would be overdrive, my bank balance would take a battering. Plus side : 2 days after my birthday though

I emailed Disney UK about upcoming releases and got some interesting responses.

First on Bedknobs & Broomsticks, The Black Cauldron, Ichabod & Mr. Toad and Atlantis: The Lost Empire, which I was personally curious about:

Unfortunately, these titles are not currently on release in the UK on Blu-ray format and we have no planned release dates for them at the moment on Blu-ray.

So now they're saying that Black Cauldron isn't scheduled for release. Here's hoping this changes soon.

However...

However, we are delighted to confirm that Snow White and Sleeping Beauty are both due for release on Blu-ray in June 2014, although the date is subject to change. We are also happy to confirm that Beauty and the Beast is due for release in August 2014, again the date is subject to change.

So yeah, in short it does seem like the vault isn't going to be in effect in the UK anymore.

I think the next steelbooks might be Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King.

Well, I consider Snow White and Sleeping Beauty quite likely.

Disney's whole vaulting of titles isn't as hard and fast in the UK as it seems to be in places like the US. They've removed titles before to tie them in with STV sequels and big screen remakes.

With the Diamond Editions seemingly coming to an end too (not that it meant anything as recent Diamond Editions have been inferior to earlier releases of the same title) I'd say at this point anything (that makes Disney money) is possible.

Must say Mary Poppins is my least favourite steelbook. Something about the casts names on the outside of that border. Pretty sure that breaks the fourth wall of steelbooks

Hopefully - do you think disney classics like Saludos amigos,make mine music, fun & fancy free, brother bear, hone on the range etc will get the Steelbook treatment? There's quite a few unheard of Disney movies, while some others are just crap. I can't imagine zavvi being able to sell these...especially not 4k, even if they halved the price.
