Any updates on this release??

Well, my order now says preparing, but no other update so far, unfortunately.

Other than what we already know (4 discs, 3D), I believe that this will be a non-lenticular release, in keeping with the rest of the Asian releases. Also, I expect the back art to be the same as it is worldwide (Gandalf in blue/green). And don't expect a slip, either!

Still the cheapest 3D release to get. Once my steel is here, I will post them pictures :D

Got shipped today, should be in hand on Monday. Will post pics, but very low expectations, given what's been coming out elsewhere. If only we had an Indian Alex ;)

Received the Indian copy today. It's GLOSSY!!!! So, this Indian steelbook is not the same as TW, nor UK. What's going on?!

Too tired to post pics atm, maybe in a couple of hours. But, trust me, looks better than a lot of them. For me, probably better looking than TW, right now.. :naughty:

Edit: TW IS glossy :emb: Thanks Gan.
shhhhhh.. Don't tell anybody, but I still don't feel the love for the TW box EEK!

Looks like mine was delivered and both had paint chips and scratches. Going to write to Flipkart and request for replacements.:(

You scared me enough to closely inspect mine mate. And guess what, mine has paint chips galore, a nice small dent on the bottom right edge along the spine at the back and do not try to open it. Will post pics as soon as possible. Flipkart has got an email from me on the way as well. :wtf:

Finally arrived!

I received my copy yesterday. The steel look stunningly glossy. Only crappy thing was the the J card was pasted with some cheap glue on the top. I had to literally rub off the leftover glue...here are the pics. BTW..the steel has been manufactured in Denmark.

I've asked for a replacement. Would be a shame if the replacement arrives with the same number of paint chips and scratched. It seems I'm stuck with the stupid glue on the J card though

Somehow miraculously I received a mint copy without any dings and dents. The only way I could remove the sticky glue residue was by applying water first to remove the thick paper and then by applying oil, the remaining glue residue comes off by rubbing on it.

Mate, be sure your copy doesn't have paint chips.. My copy had paint chips all along the edges both in front and back. Defo a pre packing issue as the shrink wrap was intact. If yours is fine, I have some hopes for my replacement.

Customer service asked me to check if the discs are working fine. I told them that it is about the Steelbook case and not the disc. Fingers crossed.

I wrote an email to them late last nite Gan, and explained the fact that the case has paint chips, a couple of small scratches and a minor dent. Also told them that I can't get the Jcard off coz of the damn glue! They agreed to replace immediately. In fact they've sent me a reply giving me the tracking number for the replacement. So, no complaints about the CS. But I'm so pee'd with the way this steelbook has been out together - what kind of moronic decision was it to glue the j card all along the front of the case? And who uses that crap kind of glue

Here's an update - the retailer replaced my copy almost immediately. Their CS thus far has been brilliant.

Now the bad news, I still have paint chips and the J card has been stuck using the most unforgivable way imaginable on all of them. The paint chips aren't consistent across my two experiences, so don't know what to make of them. But with Riddler having confirmed that his copy is mint, mine may just have been one - offs?
