I'm gonna sound like a right knob here but I wish play.com would stick to their release dates. Luckily I have enough in the kitty to pay for this early, but just barely.

And yes, of course I'm excited to get this but I'd have been very annoyed if this had pushed me into the red. The point I'm trying to make is that play.com should stick to their release dates so that their customers can make sure they have the money in the bank to fulfill their order!

Release date is 1st October - posting this week means you will have it for release day. That's how most places work (except Amazon apparently) because people want things delivered on (or before) release date or else there is no point in pre-ordering, no? :dunno:

Do you mean they are taking the money too early? Play always seem to charge early so they can get the steelbooks posted before release. I would much rather have it that way than having to wait until after release date.

Well I guess you both have valid points.

If this is becoming standard procedure to take payment early so the product arrived on release day then I think there should be a notifier before you checkout.

Maybe I'm alone in my opinion.

I do understand your point, it is hard to know exactly when they will take the funds. I just try to have the money in there as early as possible on the off chance that they do take it early. I know that's easier said than done with all these releases at the moment!

This was actually pushed back 1 month...

Anyhow, play do stick to their dates. Everyone that pre-orders online should know that cards are charged the week before, otherwise you won't have the item for release. Pretty simple really.
