Me too, but for now I'm already happy knowing it's completely different from the steelbook itself (and I love the dog on the spine, whereas the 2D one just has a small version of the house).

There are moments like now, or at night when I wake up screaming and strangling my bunny plush, when I wish I had this steelbook already . But this is just part of the BluFans process .

And this wouldn't be a proper BluFans thread without the 33 following stages :

1. Announcement by the very helpful Kevin.
2. Joy from everyone / general BluFans praise ("they're the best", "they get the job done", "this is why I collect steelbooks").
3. Questions about the price / jokes over the price (typical quote: "expensive but worth it").
   
4. Further details from Kevin : Hubs live soon.
5. Ninjas get crazy over the hubs (when will it be live? When? When?!).
6. Ninjas rush to write their name in the hub thread.
7. Ninjas come back on the thread to say their got their order in (typical smiley : "").
8. Some ninjas come back a day later to say how disappointed they are they missed out on X slip.
9. Invoices are sent a few weeks later, we have to pay in the following days.
10. Some ninjas come back to say they have paid, some others point out they didn't receive the invoice.
    
11. Waiting.
12. Waiting...
13. Postponed for one more month.
14. Waiting / little moans.
15. Waiting / more moaning + replies ("be patient", "but it will be a quality steel!").
    
16. Postponed for another month (technical issue with the paint, or slip, etc).
17. Waiting / stronger moaning over BluFans in general + harsher replies (e.g: "don't buy BluFans steels if you can't stand the wait").
18. Moaning turns into anger and excitement turns into disappointment ("we pay four-five months in advance..."). Again, they're met with people who will defend BluFans with their body and soul.
    
19. We're told it gets released on X day soon and it's official, excitement comes back in force!
20. Angst over how the final product will look.
21. Some random Holiday in China causes another delay.
22. It's released two weeks after X day.
23. Problems with shipping to hubs.
    
24. One or two Asian Ninjas show us pictures from their steelbook, everyone drools.
25. Ninjas pay the shipping invoice, usually come back on the thread to say they did, too.
26. A couple of weeks go by, punctuated by official photos from Kevin or other Asian Ninjas. Again, more drooling and excitement.
    
27. Hub masters receive the steels, Ninjas see pictures of them, Ninjas get horny (typical reply : "can't wait!").
28. We wait for the mailman every day, nothing so far. "Monday I guess".
29. Mailman arrives with a big package, Ninja slices his throat and takes the box. Far away, Brad Pitt is screaming in agony.
    
    
30. It's full of bubblewrap, and inside lies the coveted BluFans exclusive.
31. Everyone's thrilled, most people won't open it, some who do notice scratches or imperfections ("if you didn't want to see that you didn't have to open it").
    
32. One or two people come on the thread to say they didn't receive their package or that it arrived damaged, they're not done stressing out over BF yet.
33. More BluFans praise, everyone laughs. High five, freeze frame, THE END.

We're in the 20th phase, one of the toughest stages of them all . But brighter days are ahead .

Yeah, I had nothing better to do , but it is true that BluFans threads follow a pattern.

wow-great. That means I have to replace the discs. Perfect-thanks to Disney for giving this information after the Steels beeing shipped-it`s not your fault Kevin but i` m really f **** ed up now. I won`t back up but this one will be my last BF GB. WEA or not-i don`t care anymore

If you REALLY want to keep this steel just buy a blu ray amaray version and swap the discs - its not ideal but its an option!

I live in C-world, and also have region-free player, so this will not stop me from getting and enjoying Up!. The region immunity given by a region-free player is just amazing kind of freedom.

I'll keep my copy, as I love the look of the steel and could always buy an amaray version somewhere down the line. It's a shame I can't watch it straight out of the box (don't have a 3D player) but it's just one of those things.

No worries here. This was expected as the discs are recycled from the 3D Amaray release. Same story with the US / UK / EU 3D release of UP wherein the 3D disc was Region Free but the recycled 2D discs were Region locked. Same applies to other 3D releases like Nightmare Before Xmas, Bolt etc. There is no way I will pass on a Pixar flick with an excellent artwork.
