I had a late xmas party this weekend with my mom and remote family, we have 2 xmas' usually one with my dad and then one with my mom.. This year's got delayed due to a mass of snow until this weekend when my house became the impromptu location for the party. I felt pretty good about that because we just so happen to have the ability to throw a party on short notice thanks to beer on tap and buffet tables left behind by the previous owners.
So I got more swag!
hop sampler kit.. includes 12 varieties of hops and a coffee bean snifter to help keep my nose in check from the hop smelling feast. The idea is to sniff the hop that was used in the beer and then drink the beer to get the full effect of the hops out of the beer. Needless to say the first 6pack I got was Sierra Nevada's Torpedo IPA and busted out the cascades.. which is kinda funny since I got a pound of cascades in my freezer...
24oz Stewie heavy duty beer mug. Says, "Party Naked" with Stewie in his diapers doing a hipthrust
The many forms of Stewie pajama pants. I'm a family guy nut, and I find him to be the funniest character on the show - just in case you didn't catch on.
A couple of T-shirts that say "Hop Addict" and "Beer Snob" on them.. cuz I am.
22-quart Roaster Oven - this baby will see a lot of use when I do my BBQin to finish pork shoulders and briskets.. basically acts like a second oven only a smaller space which is perfect for finishing up meats that won't take anymore smoke.. I'll be able to double up when I smoke so I can pull my shoulders at 4/5 hours and start in on brisket or a couple chickens and be done at the same time. can you tell I'm excited?
9-piece lazy susan - another BBQ abuse item that'll see a lot of legwork in the spring. Actually has 6 large crescent bowls around the outside and 2 double sized middle bowls.. one a plain large bowl and another with a ying/yang configuration to divide dips. All of it in microwave/oven safe stone so I can preheat or chill individually for serving meats and sauces/sides
Was a lot more thrilled with these gifts since it didn't include a processed ham. Which I'm pretty sure we already donated to the needy.
