I now have confirmation that I can announce ... for all those worried about future packaging from Zavvi. My Play contact has been working with zavvi as well on this mission for better packaging. Between the 3 of us and the future comments from this community after its in place I'm sure it will be go over well.

Just to let people know the Rewardz point glitch is still working. I never expected the orders to go through and thought they would be cancelled but i have had them delivered. As far as i can tell, now that they have been delivered they cant do much about it because they have accepted the order once it has been dispatched or the card has been charged.

Seems this is no longer working.

yup, they just cancelled a few of preorders where i used this glitch. Strange though that the rewards terms and conditions state they can but as they say this service is no longer available, so the rewards terms and conditions are invalid?

Ditto. Thankfully got a couple of things.

Damn it Zavvi! I guess they just lost 11 pre-orders from me totalling to at least £250 for the sakes of them losing £3-£4. Rest assured, I won't be re-pre-ordering these. None of these will go OOS by the way thinks are going. Zavvi are terrible at honouring mistakes, I guess it's fair play we exploited a glitch, but why shouldn't we? A glitch on their website is not a crime.

If they used common sense, honouring these with the 60p points I used per unit, would've still made them more money than say having to drop the price on these later on when they inevitably can't get rid of the 2000 print runs. Strangely I'm not even fussed by this :)

Did anyone get a decent haul exploiting this?

I probably shouldn't admit this but I ordered:

28 Weeks Later, Batman Forever, Batman and Robin, Captain Phillips, A Clockwork Orange, Cocoon, Godzilla, The Great Gatsby, Man of Steel, Mulan, Only God Forgives, Sunshine, Swingers, This is England, Under the Skin, White House Down and a couple of other miscellaneous Blu-rays/DVDs.

I ordered thirteen or so Steelbooks on the day the bug was spotted, not really expecting them to be dispatched but of course they were. After this, I figured that it was best to just grab a title here and there when a good price came along, hoping that the bug wouldn't be discovered. I guess some customers abused it to make a quick buck on eBay or similar leading to it's discovery by Zavvi, which always seems to happen with errors like this. I'm not surprised they have cancelled any outstanding orders though, the orders I placed alone would have cost them over £100 since I was saving six quid on each one and stacking with 10% codes.

I LOVE how you start your post with

I probably shouldn't admit this but....

I ordered a few things as well, some games which got cancelled due to having to wait for them coming from the supplier. I did order one thing that, when my points were added to a 10% discount it came to £0.32. I felt I couldn't order it at this in good conscience so I removed some of my points. Not sure if that was one of my cancelled orders or not. I'm still waiting for a few things to be delivered. By so far I've had 4 PS3 games, 1 steelbook and 2 blu's.

For this email from them this morning....

Hi,

Thank you for placing your recent order with us.

Unfortunately your rewards points did not deduct correctly and we have been unable to process the outstanding items on your order.

We're very sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause and fully understand that this may be frustrating. Please accept our apologies.

If a charge has been taken for the order, then a refund will be requested upon cancellation and the money returned to your account within 3-5 working days.

If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact our team. We appreciate your custom and hope to see you visiting us again soon.

Kind Regards,
Zavvi Customer service team

"Yeah, no $#!+ they didn't deduct properly. Why do you think I was ordering so much? "

Is it just me or are Zavvi really weird about sending out their promo emails?
I'll generally get their mega monday newsletters or whatever, but I've only ever had one email that's had a unique discount code from them, most of them I seem to miss out on.

Just managed to pick up Man of Steel 3D, The Day After Tomorrow & Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy for £24.77 thanks to altermann's Buy 2, Save an extra 20% code though :)
It seems as as long as you buy two you get 20% off everything on the offer not just the first two items - £10.39 for Man of Steel 3D seemed pretty good!

Snow White and the Huntsman - Limited Collector's Edition Steelbook (actually a collector's box set including the steelbook) is an absolute bargain on that offer (£11.99) - if I didn't already have it I'd definitely be picking it up for that price!

Yeh, I didn't get an email about that specific offer.
Maybe a bit of vengeance on Zavvi's part over my morally-bankrupt use of the rewards loophole over the past month.
