Current packaging is a cardboard mailer with the steelbook usually wrapped in either a layer of bubble wrap or foam

I now have confirmation that I can announce ... for all those worried about future packaging from Zavvi. My Play contact has been working with zavvi as well on this mission for better packaging. Between the 3 of us and the future comments from this community after its in place I'm sure it will be go over well.

1/19/2013 Member Nyvo tweeted Zaavi about packaging concerns. They said they may be looking into alternate packaging methods.

I've just received 5 separate email's today, saying 'sorry but were having problems shipping x steelbook'...so I'm waiting on 5 steels at the moment, not complaining, just wondering if Zavvi are having problems. ....
 
Ever since I got the Marvel Z Box which came to me damaged and missing the figure AND comic, I've been contacting them to get it sorted. All they did though was offer me a refund and nothing else. I held my ground telling them they just need to send me the figure and a comic because I actually wanted the box.

They said they would get back in contact with me as they passed the message along. After nearly 3 weeks without a message I sent them another one and got this as a reply

"
Thank you for getting in touch about our operations team are liaising with the traders to try and resolve all issues relating to ZBOX purchases, however at this time we are unable to provide an eta for any resolution other than the return of the item.

If there is anything else that we can do, then please do not hesitate to get in touch and a member of our team will be happy to help."

Making it sound like they don't have a clue what they are doing.

Any advice on what I should do? I could send it back but I'm getting sick of the fact that's Zavvi's only solution. They f*** something up and they think a refund will make everything better despite the fact I ordered these items for a reason......because I actually want them.
 
T2, Holy Grail and Life of Brian released June 8 and close to a week later and none have shipped. I got one of those "we are sorry for the delay" emails for T2 but nothing else. This is not like Zavvi, any one have an idea what may be going on?

It sounds like they don't know how to get the missing comic and figure. You might be better to cut your losses and get a refund. If you really want the box it might be worth holding out for it. Good luck getting it sorted!

That's what I thought but they should tell me instead of messing me around.

They have the figures on their site though which is what I don't understand. I mean they could send that out to me now and give me the comic another time. I just can't believe they wouldn't get more items in JUST INCASE something like this happens.

Not even other compensation methods like "Oh well we can't get you the comic but we'll give you XXXX instead, how is that". I mean they f***** up, not me.

That does sound frustrating, I hope you can get the issue resolved.
 
@psychoscot I had ordered 2 copies of it placed the order about 5 minute apart when it came back in stock, my both orders were despatched same day but only received 1 of them about 4 or 5 days it was shipped... it has now been 6 or 7 business day since I received my first copy...is that normal ? I would assume they would have gotten in few days apart at the most.

if I don't receive my 2nd steel, is Zavvi fair in honouring refund for lost parcels or you have to put up a fight ?

No idea dude, never had one go missing, but this being Zavvi's I'm guessing they will be difficult as always.

They'll refund you, legally they have no choice, but it's never simple.

On the one occasion I had this happen they finally sent a PDF document to sign, which I did digitally and sent back. They then said it had to be signed by hand and emailed back (which I refused and they backed down) before finally a week later refunding me.

The only other similar issue I had was when I received an empty box. They asked for a photo of an empty box, seriously!? Which I didn't do but they sent a replacement anyway.

I hate Zavvi's customer service with a passion.

What was your estimated delivery time in your order
Items posted on the same day don't mean both will be delivered at the same time
Post can get delayed for a number of reasons and most of the time will eventually turn up delivered
You can get post delivered in 5-6 days or it can be 14-30 days at times and sometimes even longer

On average my orders to Ireland for example its 4-8 days and sometimes its 8-20 days and this can happen with orders shipped on the same day
I have had some arrives after 2 months and this is when the parcel ended up in wrong country and then re directed to my correct address

Wait till your estimated delivery date and then after that you need to follow what if I don't get delivery of my order
You need to wait before you contact them


UK, please allow 14 days from dispatch before reporting an item as missing.

Europe, please allow 21 days from dispatch before reporting an item as missing.

Rest of the World, please allow 30 days from dispatch before reporting an item as missing (Turkey is currently classed within our 30 day timescale)

After this if item is still in stock they will send you a replacement or a full refund if stock not available

yes I received one like 5 days after posting and other one is no show and we're going to the third week... I have to wait until end of month from 30 days from dispatch as you say...

but I guess now it is just a waiting game.

thanks for all this info ! it is just strange usually items shipped from same location same day can arrive few days apart but weeks this is strange.

All I can say is *sigh*. I have been buying steelbooks from Zavvi for a few years now, no troubles until recently. I had 5 steelbooks delivered damaged, contacted to get them replaced, some got replaced others went out of stock as it took them 15 days to get back to me about the replacement. They wont take any responsibility or have any sort of customer care to ensure their customers are happy unfortunately. The reason being is that they are still turning a profit while treating their customers badly, only when they realise they are loosing money from their bad custoemer service will they change their tune. This is why I messaged them recently and stated that I wont be purchasing anything from them after my next few pre-orders are fulfilled and that I will buy their releases from ebay sellers, even at inflated prices, as individual people on there actually give better service.

Their reply was typical "We are sorry to hear that you have had issues recently, If there is anything else that we can do, then please do not hesitate to get in touch and a member of our team will be happy to help."

Funnily enough I was just going to reply on here before I went out.

Got a message from Zavvi this morning and they are going to send me a figure from the site (I even got to choose) and they will send me the other stuff when they can apparently.

Since keep moaning and you'll get things fixed. Although it shouldn't be this hard
 
Just wanted to know has anyone returned any items to zavvi with collect plus? Beacuse I tried to but the collect plus barcode was not recognised so not sure why zavvi told me to take there in the first place. Should I just send it with Royal Mail and do they refund the postage costs?
