I now have confirmation that I can announce ... for all those worried about future packaging from Zavvi. My Play contact has been working with zavvi as well on this mission for better packaging. Between the 3 of us and the future comments from this community after its in place I'm sure it will be go over well.

For those of you who live outside of Europe, can you please answer 2 questions:

1) Do you choose International Tracked or International Standard for shipping, from Zavvi?
2) How long did it take for your orders to arrive, if you chose International Standard?

Many thanks.

I am living in the US.

1. International Standard because both shipping methods use the same packaging.
2. It varies between 5 days to 3 weeks. Another reason to choose the standard shipping.

4 damaged Roger Rabbits? You must have got them all then, cos no one here got a damaged Roger steel.

Ye well that's rubbish theres plenty of damaged rr's going around anyway i'm done with steels now I just got another 6 in today and 4 of them are damaged and 3 of them were fae amazon its been slowly getting worse over the last 6 months but 27 sb's in the last month from various retailers 9 of which were damaged thats 33% not even I am that unlucky lol used to be once or twice a month so now sb quality control is really out the window and getting worse so i'm out now before everyone else ends up doing the same so i'm selling all my collection good luck guys hope it changes for you and I really enjoyed the forum so thx.

I don't understand Zavvi's shipping method. Why are some international standard shipped items tracked to their UK departure and some not at all?

Why does one steelbook take 5 days to get to the east coast USA and another is still AWOL for 13 days. Sure it could be the mail service, but it seems inconsistent even for them.

It could be due to your local carriers too. Many times, the package is scanned and stuck in the some depot in the US for weeks before getting cleared. Based upon my experience, most of the packages shipped to US via tracked delivery took longer than the ones sent by AirMail.

I had clash of the titans arrive today in a freaking jiffy bag, thats not the worst part.... There was a massive scratch on the back and although it was sealed there was no f'ing disc inside. My faith in zavvi has sunk badly.

Firstly, it has been mentioned quite a few times that everything released prior to Roger Rabbit would be sent in non-Steelbook packaging. Secondly, a scratch on the back cover is not Zavvi's fault, their employees don't have X-ray vision. Thirdly, again not Zavvi's fault since they don't produce or package the items. I may be beginning to sound like a broken record, but I will defend Zavvi because at least they have tried to connect with collectors like Play.com did and also because they are trying to improve, it just takes time.

1, dont care
2, dont care
3, dont care

I recieved the parcel 8 days after it being dispatched, massive scratch on the back and the disc not being inside, they sell the item so they will take full responsibility, end of.

Is there any asian members use to order from Zavvi? My first order "DESPATCHED" (I think you knew why I use DESPATCHED :D)" since Mar 25 till now it still didn't arrive, normally how long should it take to DESPATCH to Thailand?... thank you guys :)
That's kinda weird quoting my owns :D Just wanna let you guys know that I've received my 3 orders yesterday, my first order shipped on Mar 23, the last one was on Mar 30, one of them just came with paper card envelope, the other 2 were in hard cardboard boxes... ... lucky me that the one in cardboard envelope is arrived safely...

Where is this online shop registrated? Outside the EU? I like to know this if i dont order to much if i have to pay taxes ....

To quote from the bottom of their webpage, emboldened as appropriate:
© 2013 The Hut.com Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 5016010) whose registered office is at Meridian House, Gadbrook Park, Gadbrook Way, Rudheath, Northwich, Cheshire, UK, CW9 7RA.
Hope that helps :D see also post#3 in this thread.

Err. I just received Zulu in the new packaging.

Those were made available from Zavvi about a week before Roger Rabbit that's why. The stock for those Paramount titles was transferred from Play.com, so it probably ended up at this new warehouse where the Steelbook packaging is kept.

There customer service really does suck bad. Contacted them 3 times about my steel arriving scratched with no disc inside, and recieved no response. Getting more and more angry.
