I now have confirmation that I can announce ... for all those worried about future packaging from Zavvi. My Play contact has been working with zavvi as well on this mission for better packaging. Between the 3 of us and the future comments from this community after its in place I'm sure it will be go over well.

Despite getting a email about Aladdin being canceled Mine apparently showed up today .I looked at my bank account and had been charged.

Looks like a mistake email on their part. They need to get their $h!t together I had a mini melt down when I saw the email. :(

Just received a steelbook from Zavvi in a thin cardboard envelope, not one of their boxes. Upon taking off the shrinkwrap I discovered the top edge was badly buckled, I then took the J card off and opened the case, only to find then it fell apart in my hands, and had been split right down the spine.

I'm really struggling to get to grips with Zavvi's returns process. They really try to make it hard, don't they? I've clicked on the link in their Returns FAQ, but it takes me to a login screen (even if I'm already logged into my account), and then takes me back to the home screen. I've tried searching the site for a contact telephone number or email address to no avail. Eventually I found a customer service email address hidden away in another FAQ, but have had no reply yet (I sent the email yesterday morning). I fear it's going to be an uphill struggle to return this clearly-faulty item.

I just received Aladdin in a bubble envelope, no box like the usual! Luckly no damage what so ever but i thought we were guaranteed to receive steels in the new box for new releases! Whats happened?

I have Thor and Captain America on pre-order. First time I'm ordering from Zavvi and some of the recent comments are scaring me! I hope they get their packaging sorted out soon!!

Still waiting on my spare copy of aladdin, contacted zavvi and they want me to sign a non receipt of goods form, which i did, scanned off and sent to them, hopefully they sort it out. i shouldn't be filling out forms, surely they are meant to chase this up themselves  was shipped on the 27/6 :(

Zavvis returns process is the worst.

Usually after returning i have to literally chase it up with them first, they say contact them after 10 days with proof of postage for the refund. Never have they said they got my return.

Always the same story "ive had a check and we do not appear to have received back your item".

I know a lot of users have had bad experience with Zavvi but for what my 2 cents is worth..
I've now ordered somewhere around 30 steels from Zavvi (shipped to me in the U.S) and I have been more then pleased with their service! They use thin boxes with a bit of cushion padding around the steelbook and while this isn't ideal it has been more then adequate for all, but 1 of my steels (Batman Forever which arrived slightly dented), but after contacting Zavvi they sent a free replacement..
As they are one of the few U.K. retailers that will even ship to me, they have competative prices on steels and £1 shipping per steel internationally. I give them an overall 2 thumbs up!

My dealings with Zavvi have also been good. They've answered my emails quickly and shipped a replacement no questions asked. I hope it stays this way. I would like to see them ship orders bundled as I ordered 6 one day and they shipped separately yet at the same time. As I'm in Australia the shipping cost is absurdly low.

My spare copy of Aladdin still hasn't arrived! just aswell as my first copy has paint chips and yet still no reply from zavvi after I filled in the 'non receipt of goods' form my chances of actually getting a mint copy is very low :( I'm expecting a full refund as they have sold out!

Just preordered Monsters Universary, and I got a Paypal Sub-charge. It was only 24p but even so, the price of Zavvi exclusives these days....

I noticed the surcharge today as well.
Pretty cheeky to doing that considering how inflated their prices are.

Making you pay a paypal surcharge? They are getting more and more greedy as time passes.

If they keep going the way they are going they will lose all steelbook customers and have 1000s of them piled up unshiftable.

Nah. People will buy. That's the problem, here. People keep condoning this ****, and buying their product. I, for one, refuse to support this joke of a retailer.

I just ordered a few with that code and this is the first time I noticed a Paypal surcharge. Is that new? No impressed.

what's the average time it's taking people in the US here to get their orders in from Zavvi? my order shipped out on 7/2 and not counting the day i got the email or the 4th, today was 7 days, which their site says orders to the US via standard shipping average 5-7 business days. if i counted both of those other days, it would be 9 business days as of today and i've noticed people in states west of me that had packages shipped out on the same date have already gotten their stuff. if i don't get anything tomorrow, i guess i'm gonna have to shoot Zavvi an email about not getting my order.

Hey tox, I would add a few extra days due to 4th of July holiday, but I have waited 2-3 weeks for packages from UK on occasion. They are sent 'regular', not express, just like other retailers do. But still, it can't to check in with them if you feel nothing arrives in a few days. So far mine have arrived ok, though I am not a huge fan of the little boxes they are using.
