i wont be getting this, I actually held off a long time before finally getting the German CinEdition for same reasons you state Horhay but ultimately I grabbed it. I'm fine with the writing now, and its a great movie. But not enough for me to inspire a double dip.

Will finally be able to swap the Definitive Edition DVD Steelbook from the UK for this release. Group buyers here I come!

The Director's Cut version of this film is superior to the Theatrical Cut, story-wise.. I've got the R1 4-Disc DVD set and yes, while the BD does not have the intermission music, it's still awesome, especially with the surround sound FX of the charging cavalry and the catapults during the last battle scene.

Wouldn't mind getting this, just need to find some kind person to order it for me, or maybe looking into getting involved in a group buy.

Also, going by Media Market it includes just the trailer.
Going by bluray-disc.de it includes:

Development: Good Intentions

"Tripoli" Overview, First Draft Screenplay by W. Monahan, notes to the story

Pre-production: Faith and Courage

Samples of the actor
The Colors of the Crusade (costumes)

Creative Accuracy: The Scholars speaks

I have the UK amaray of this and, although it's a little busy, prefer the artwork on that! Don't mind foreign "titles" as long as they're not too overpowering but this is a bit of a mouthful!

Great blu ray transfer by the way... :D

Is there German writing on the Back of the steelbook.. Did not like this film when I first watched it but it kinda grew on me.... Good film to have.

I agree. I had mixed feelings about the film when I saw it in theatres. I thought it was a little choppy/did not flow but once I watched it a second time I really started to like it.

Did you watch the Director's Cut the second time? If not, I highly recommend you see the director's cut
