What do ya'll prefer to drink? Beer, Wine, Hard Liquor, Wine Coolers? All of them?

I only drink Beer and Hard Liquor. Mint Mojito is about the only thing close to a wine cooler I'll drink though LOL

I've been wanting to try that Cereal Killer for a while now, sounds delicious.

I stopped by the specialty beer store on teh way home from work last night to get some Green Flash west coast IPA and as I gave the stacks a quick check, I came across some Founders as well! I picked up 6 of their Centennial IPA too, plus a single of the Lagunitas Maximus. Might have do dig in to a few of them tonight

Sadly, that was all the Founders I saw. I was hoping for some nemesis or the breakfast stout but no such luck

With the exception of 1 day I tried one beer per day that I got over the weekend.

Bourbon County Stout from goose island waxed my face. 13% ABV and MAN did it punch in some serious bourbonese.

Crooked Tree IPA and WOOO WEEE that was sticky icky icky! I could tell it had TONS of dryhopping. Lots of pine. If you've ever touched tree sap, it was the same texture only on your tongue lol. Damn tasty though, and loaded with alc HIC.

Bell's Oberon was an interestingly light tasting wheat beer, I think what was killer was the beer color almost matched the beer label identically Another nice tidbit was there wasn't a stale wheat flavor, this beer seemed relatively fresh from the tanks. Most times because of the excess yeast in wheat beers they are not very stable and degrade rapidly over time, but I made sure to get all the yeasty goodness in my glass and it sailed smoothly down the throat.

Of course I splurged and had a KBS over the weekend as well. Nothing more to say really, those beers are just f*cking great.

After the bourbon county stout on saturday I went all in and got into the apple wine... one could argue the chicken before the egg but I'm absolutely positive I wasn't wearing any pants by 4, however, I constructed a relatively sturdy garden and the wife said I performed well. What really happened saturday may very well never be known.

Haha yeah that bourbon county is some crazy stuff. I tried an 08 bottle a few months ago and the bourbon flavor went down a lot. I have 5 bottles left so im gonna sit on them some more to see what happens.

Double Crooked Tree is probably in my top 5 IPA's. Its up there with Hopslam. I love it. Me and my buddy one night had two DCT each, a plead the fifth Imperial stout from Darkhorse which is like 10% and split a bottle of Hop Stoopid from Lagunitas and we were hammered.

I just saw a news report the other day on Bell's and they talked a lot about Oberon. That stuff is really popular especially around this area. They actually sell in in little pony kegs too which is cool. Many people like to throw oranges in it but I always pass on citrus.

And yes KBS is pretty amazing. I was lucky enough to try Canadian Breakfast Stout the other day and it was amazing at well. CBS is #6 beer in the world according to BA and KBS is #8. CBS is the same this just aged in Canadian Whiskey Barrels. I was lucky enough to actually fine as much KBS as I did this year. I have 12 of this years and 5 from last years in my cellar.

So I had the Founder's Centennial and the Lagunitas Maximus last night and I have to say that I was very underwhelmed by the Founders. It had such a great reputation too. It was really not very bitter at all... the label claimed 65 IBU's but I would have guessed about 45. Still pretty good though, I think my next homebrew is going to be a centennial IPA, but with more bitterness than the Founders had. It smelled great though, you can tell they dry hopped the hell out of it.

The Lagunitas Maximus was pretty darn good though. I would pick up some more of that one. All in all though, I still think that the Green Flash West Coast IPA is still my favorite.

that sucks although I can't imagine founder's has homeruns for every beer... Sierra nevada's Glissade is a good example of a defunct bock... not that it's a terrible beer, it just doesn't sell well I've noticed. Maybe the name just isn't catchy enough, or it's the puke yellow/green packaging they put it in.. it doesn't scream fresh and yummy to me.


Anyways... I'm getting ready to go to michigan and we're going to short's brewery after we check in.. I can't wait! I'll get pics.

Find some beer and ship it back to Kansas. traverse city is probably the best place to look for it.

I enjoy it but I prefer Double Trouble (DIPA) or Devil Dancer (Triple IPA) If you can find breakfast stout, double trouble, curmudgeon, devil dancer, dirty bastard, imperial stout, red's rye pa those are good haha. and the much harder ones to find KBS, Nemesis, and Backwoods Bastard

Beer wise, I like Newcastle, Strella, Tecate, Becks, Red Stripe.
Hard Liquors I enjoy include, Scotch whiskey, tequila and vodka
Any recommendations are welcome.
Keep in mind I live in the US so not all of the same stuff that you international people drink might be available.

hmm I only know a bit of Tequila, some of the other guys can talk about beer.

Anyway, here's my list:

Don Julio Silver - very smooth doesn't burn on the way down
Don Julio 1942 Añejo - This will burn ya throat but it's damn good aged tequila! Only comes out every few seasons not widely available year long.
Jose Cuervo Tradicional - This is one of my favorites! Put it in your freezer and drink it chilled.
Cazadores - This is drank at my home during parties like it's water love it. It's not too strong yet it not too smooth. Perfect balance.
Cazadores Añejo - is also damn good

I had some Don Julio Real at a bar and damn it! one of the best I've ever had!!!

As far as Whiskey goes I've only had Gentlemen Jack and it wasn't bad. Now Irish Whiskey I've had Jameson's, Finian's , but Bushmills takes the cake man it was good whiskey.

I am not too savvy on Vodka. All the stuff I pointed out is available here in the United States.

Welcome. I'm not nearly as good with beer recomendations as some of the other guys, but I am fan of the dark beers and a big fan of Crown Royal. The basic Crown is good, but you pay for what you get. Lately, I've been drinking Crown Royal Reserve. It's in the gold box and costs a few bucks more, but it's well worth it. Crown XR (Xtra Rare) and Crown Cask 16 will set you back $100+ and would be great for special occasions. They are so smooth and so good.

I'm not sure where you guys get your supplies from, but I had been purchasing almost all of my stuff from Austin Homebrew. Well I recently came across a site called Brewmasters Warehouse. They also have an exclusive list that they offer monthly discounts and specials too. I just placed an order for an IPA that I've been spying. I just got a special email this morning so I ended up getting 8 oz. of additional centennial hops for $5 and another additional 8 oz. of cascade hops for $4.50 They come in pellet form and are vaccum sealed. There is also a code for 10% your total order this month, lemme know if you guys are interested
