Steelbook Proective Packaging GREAT!

Play.com's steelbook protective packaging is one of the best packaging I have seen as I have had no damaged steelbooks from them so far.

They decided it'd be more profitable to take commision from other retailers like Entertainment Store, Base, Zavvi, etc who sell on play.com than to sell their own stock.

basically the goverment closed a loophole that was making play all the profit due to them being a channel islands based company... therefore purely not profitable anymore against the current market etc....

They now make money for there name....

Same with thehut group as well but play took a bigger hit due to closing down the LVCR loophole. No wonder Zavvi sets the price of the Steelboks a penny below the limit.

I have a question: I have that Jack Reacher-steelbook on pre-order, but when they tried to get the payment for it earlier this week, I didn't have enough funds on my bank account. But now when I have, they say they still can't process it and said I should just re-order it.

How am I gonna re-order it when it's sold out?

play cancels the order if funds are not sufficient to pay the item.
you have to keep refreshing if u manage to get any...unfortunately...sorry bout that..

Come to find out they cancelled the order and my account and now H&G are sold out. Fu**ing A**holes.

I called them up yesterday, not that helpful, they have to contact head office to see what they can do. I'm worried as I have some pre-orders on my account :E

On their system my email address is connected to my account but it won't let me log on still. Weird.
