What annoyed me was that until only a week ago the titles were saying a release date of 31st December on their site so I assumed they were delaying them. Was not expecting this stunt especially at this time of year.

Last I checked Snow White it was saying dec 31st until just now I checked my emails to find a despatch email, today!

I had duplicates of lion king, sleeping beauty, snow white and batb but besides batb I wasn't allowed to cancel the dupes way back on the 29th of November... Yep, they did me at both ends.
Gonna send back the dupes once they arrive and I'm done pre-ordering.

Yip. This Past week I have had 2 x Juamni, 2x Lion King, Tarzan, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and HTTYD. Crazy.. But I'm not thinking about the money... More the excitement about receiving all my goodies over the next few days

The Great Disney Despatch of 2014 haha this was insane 4 in 1 day not counting other releases. Thankfully I'm in a position where I can take this hit and make it through but easily could've caught me in a bad spot. Feel for the ppl this hurts, they really need to get a solid release date out minimum 2 weeks prior so their loyal and best customers dont get screwed. I'm happy to get these in hand and finish the collection but this was pretty ridiculous.

I'm currently battling Zavvi over the non-arrival of GotG (how are you supposed to hand-sign an online document?) and feel I;m being treated very unfairly, having to jump through hoops when the likes of Amazon just refund or resend without issue (this is the first steelbook that's ever not turned up)...

Which leads me to this point, I've spend over £100 on Disney steelbook this week (some of which didn't stick to the release dates), as well as the DreamWorks titles (£30) and yet Zavvi are happy enough to take my money, but make you feel the lowest of the low whenever there's an issue.

I've been accused of being a 'Zavvi defender' in the past, and while by-and-large I have no issue with them, things are fine when things go right but the customer service side of the business has always been horrendous...

1) not being able to update CC details
2) having to post pictures of damages
3) not automatically being charged the lowest price if it drops before release

I'm looking forward to getting this latest batch, but sometimes I wish Zavvi didn't have such a stranglehold on exclusives.

not sure it will cost you a "fortune" the zavvi disneys steels don't seem to sell that well

i wouldnt be so sure , zavvi look like they're clearing the decks and expect more to sell out soon , once they're gone i wouldnt be surprised to see them attain high prices again .Disneys are iconic , people have children and want the movies for their kids , year on year there'll be more demand for these .the current 12.99 for the titles left is a bargain ,buy now hold them and in 12 months time they'll be double that.

I agree, at least it's over now, no more expenditure. Even if they decide to produce more Disney steelbooks down the line, there isn't anymore that I want personally.

Just received my Fox & The Hound.... completely bashed, bent...... you name it, it's got it. Zavvi's response.... 10% refund. Why do they insist on doing this? It's really annoying now.... I'm glad they are finishing them... this will be the 7th one I've had to fight to get a full refund or replacement. I have had to contact Trading Standards twice now. Really sick of them now.

I had to cancel Beauty and the Beast simply because I didn't want another repeat of yesterday but if you've ordered a dup copy, I'll take it of your hands when you get it save you sending it back to Zavvi that's if none else has already asked you. If it's OK to ask if you see what I mean.
I think what i said makes sense?

Sorry, i don't have it.
I said besides batb I couldn't cancel the dupes.
I was making a point that Zavvi wouldn't allow the cancellation of one copy from each order 5 days before despatch so it was either cancel completely or go ahead with the two copies, but as batb hasn't been sent out yet I was able to cancel.

I received the Lion King Steelbook today which is a superb piece of artwork. Not going to go out and get the whole collection but definitely eyeing up the titles to purchase another disney steel book from Zavvi.

These are all great disney titles the only two that I purchased was Tangeld and Mulan. I also was interested for Beauty and the beast but left it out as I already have it on ironpack version... [emoji41]

Well it wasnt easy, but I have the full collection now that they confirmed that BATB is on its way to me.

Maybe now I can resume collecting non-Disney steels now right Zavvi? ;P
