Received this and not at all happy with the Steelbook as it looks a bit dull due to the matte finish. Spine looks great though. To me this is yet another over hyped Steelbook.

PQ is ace. Kudos to the folks involved in the restoration.

I don't know about you guys, but out of all steelbooks I have, the matte finish steelbooks are the ones with paint chips.

I think the embossing of the name of the movie looks really good. I don't know what is not to like about the cover. It looks very nice IMO. Your a hard person to please.

Of course there is going to be hype. Its one of the greatest sci-fi flix of all time.

If I decide to sell any the double box is a hindrance and the main reason I buy from play is for those single box packaging! I order one at a time if it doesn't sell out to avoid that packaging

Yeah I prefer we the single boxes too, great for re-using! I guess it's not cheap to keep using them though.

I think the embossed lettering really impressed me, that was a must and also to follow the T2 JP style embossing. Please can T3 be released again so we can bin the DE version.

It really is a lovely steel but like I said earlier I would glady trade those slashed spine for my lovely dent in my video!

Fingers crossed I have bagged a replacement but I won't relax until it arrives and I have it in my hands!

Got mine today, with a gash aswell, im only lucky that the card was half way up the steelbook so the card got the gash and not the steelbook!

Hmmmm that is very interesting. We got someone with a slash underneath his card and then another on top of the card.

Been out all day, just grabbed mine before the kids tried to open it! Slash right across the card as well but the steel is OK - this is one nice steel.

I can't wait for my copy to arrive. I would be heartbroken if it came with the spine slashed (or any other damage). Such a beautiful steelbook to own.
