Hey NINJAS! Days of Future Past hasn't even been released and it looks like a sequel has been announced!

In a surprise move, Bryan Singer today revealed the title of the next chapter of 20th Century Fox's popular X-Men franchise. May 27, 2016 will see the release of X-Men: Apocalypse!

Apocalypse, created by Louise and Walter Simonson, made his debut in X-Factor #6. The world's first mutant, En Sabah Nur was born in Egypt around 3,000 BC and used advanced technology to make himself an eternal conquerer, believing whole heartedly in survival of the fittest.

The character's most popular storyline, "The Age of Apocalypse," ran in the X-Men books beginning in 1995. Set in a paralell reality formed by interference to the timeline, "The Age of Apocalypse" saw Xavier murdered before he could form the X-Men. Instead, a very different take on the team began with Magneto leading them through a post-apocalyptic America ruled by mutants.

Since next summer's X-Men: Days of Future Past involves a time travel storyline, it's likely that a filmic take on "The Age of Apocalypse" could spin out of the film's ending.

With today's technology, I dont buy that the Apocalypse from the comic would look silly on the big screen. This short, Ivan Ooze/Mr. Freeze version looks silly and un-imposing. Teenage storm looks taller than him for goodness sake lmao! These are set photos so hopefully they add digital effects to get him correct for the final cut of the movie but in that bootleg comic-con trailer he was just as small so idk. Pretty underwhelming for the X-Men's strongest villan and considering how burly and domineering he is portrayed in the comics. If big screen Thanos can look like comic Thanos..... But will just have to wait and see. Everyone else looks ok though.

I'm also a little let down by the way appocaypse looks and now can't get Ivan ooze out my head, I know Isaac will probably act the role much better than he looks. I'm loving the rest of the costumes and Jean great and jubilee look quality and **** it I'll say it, hot too.

Was Really looking forward to this film but appocolypse is putting me off and singers x men films are the best in the series so this might be his downfall BUT I hope I'm wrong.

Really hope quicksilver Is used a lot more and not a one scene pony again and nightcrawler gets a lot of screen time (I reakon quicksilver will be in it a lot tbh but worried nightcrawler gets a one fight/teleport scene or something)

20th Century Fox and Mars Chocolate North America announced a partnership today between M&M’S and the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse and even released a cute image of the Yellow and Green M&M’S as Magneto and Storm (which you can see below). Tucked away in their press release, however, is the actually interesting part, the X-Men: Apocalypse synopsis! It reads as follows:

“Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshiped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign.
