I now have confirmation that I can announce ... for all those worried about future packaging from Zavvi. My Play contact has been working with zavvi as well on this mission for better packaging. Between the 3 of us and the future comments from this community after its in place I'm sure it will be go over well.

I suspect Zavvi will cancel these orders overnight before posting anything out. A glitch this massive is surely going to alert someone!

Surely they cant cancel them!! If its there fault then they have to honour it...
If they cancel mine ill be sure and tell them that anyway.

C'mon, seriously?!

If you get a free copy then lucky you. If the order gets cancelled then it was worth a try but you haven't lost out.

It's definitely not worth any ones time complaining about

Ok now I'm confused. I originally ordered toy story, jungle book and I robot when I first heard about the deal, requested cancellation for the lot after finding out about the deal working with just jungle book and re ordered. Toy story cancelled but I have a free JB and an I robot at £13 being prepared for dispatch :-/

been posted elsewhere that Zavvi are aware of this and it's an error and have now closed the loophole allowing people to get a free JB steel. I think whether you get this or not will depend on how quickly the computer system can catch up and cancel the order before the night shift pack your steel and send it to the dispatch bin - personally I think if it's just 20-30 or so Zavvi might just let these fly :)

The loophole wasn't open long at all so they will probably let it slip.. You lucky few up there got JB for free it seems.. ;) and if they cancel them you can still get it for 9.99 like the rest of us..

Does anything stop you from getting the Jungle Book for £9.99 and then cancelling Toy Story? Cos if the clouds aren't put on the wallpaper I don't want it, but I still want JB! :ohno:

But it's not Free Postage . It should be phrased as "no extra postage costs" . The price you pay includes a discounted postage rate (for bulk usage) , which is why "free postage retailers "tend not to list things below a certain threshold.

So when they list in euros they increase the amount to cover the extra postage costs.

Just a guess , but it explains the big discrepency in exchange rates.

Postage would not cost €8 to Rep Of Ireland for Blu-ray disc

Its wrong pure and simple as other sellers on play.com don't overcharge like that with a few exceptions of private sellers as I still use play.com and often get Blu-ray Movies cheaper than from Zavvi.com or Amazon.uk

Others Sellers on Play.com correctly convert the sterling correctly to Euro so its TOTAL noting to do with Postage

I also don't agree with this steelbook being sold on play.com as its a pre-order
Zavvi Exclusive release pre-orders should only be sold on Zavvi.com up to release day
After that its ok to be sold on any site but all pre-orders should and must be only sold on Zavvi.com
Its a Zavvi exclusive not a zavvi-outlet sold on play.com exclusive

It cant be sold out if 700 copies available on play.com
all 700 or less should only be for sale on Zavvi.com up to release day as its a Zavvi.com exclusive

Its not right to rip of customers as that's what they are doing with a total wrong conversion

There not a private seller trying to sell there few copies and should be available for all customers to purchase only on zavvi.com as its there product

In terms it states if you buy a combined special then cancel a part of it, you must return the whole order

I don't think it would be fair intentionally take advantage of such deals. If you buy a combined offer then you should pay for the whole thing. Of course, if something happens somewhere down the line, flexibility is appreciated, but intentionally trying to trick the system isn't something I personally recommend.

That said, if Zavvi is unable change the shipping address if you decide to move before the pre-order is sent out, then the least they can do is cancel the order for you without asking you to return the whole order - if that is the solution that is best for you. The address issue is Zavvi's responsibility.

In terms it states if you buy a combined special then cancel a part of it, you must return the whole order

Once any part of a multi purchase order is shipped, you are then unable to cancel any remaing items within that order. On the order page, if you press the cancel button, it will say that you no longer have the option to cancel as part of your order has dispatched.

When you ,for example pre order 4 steelbooks and use a spend £50 get £5 off code, you have to be 100% sure you want all 4 steels cos once that first order is dispatched you're stuck with the last 3 remaining steels.

I think this was a very clever idea of zavvi's to lose £5 on those orders whilst ensuring no cancellations later on:naughty:

Talking of codes, I just saw on another thread, a save10 code but I tried it and its not working for me, anyone else seen that, used it and it worked? :D
