I now have confirmation that I can announce ... for all those worried about future packaging from Zavvi. My Play contact has been working with zavvi as well on this mission for better packaging. Between the 3 of us and the future comments from this community after its in place I'm sure it will be go over well.

10 days after cancelling all of my pre-orders due to Zavvi's crap packaging, I am getting powerful feelings of canceller's remorse.

I know these feelings are completely irrational because I still think I did the right thing in cancelling.

I will give myself 15 lashes of the whip for having these feelings. Anyone else going through this? Perhaps 30 lashes would be better.

Cancelled all my Zavvi orders some time ago, but as a childhood fan of Hercules I decided to chance it and order it. Arrived today and unsurprisingly it has a huge dent on the front due to the cardboard envelope it was sent in. I've already sent an email off asking for a refund and will try and get one off ebay rather than ordering from them again.

It's pathetic that they're using these, I ordered an amaray from them a few weeks ago and that arrived in a bubble wrapped mailer, yet this isn't...

Zavvi, this so called company, when they promise you a percentage refund within 3-5 days, do they actually intend to give you these refunds, or do you have to wait months or chase them to the ends of time for the percentage, what a bunch of crooks:angry:

Question:

Could somebody in the know tell me, if you use rewardz points on a preorder and then decide you don't want it and cancel it before release day, do you get your rewardz points back??

You should get them credited to your account a short while after. If not, I believe you can request them back if they do not appear. Bizarrely enough though Zavvi stated the rewardz scheme was to be sc***** after the 26th June. Yeah...

I have 33 points, spent them yesterday, and these points must be immortal as they are still redeemable. Zavvi's best glitch yet? :D

Edit: why did HDN censor "sc-rapped". That's not a swear word where I come from :hilarious:

Yeah. I'm afraid now if I cancel the said item they will use that as an excuse and not refund them and it will have been a waste.

I'm expecting another World Cup discount tonight and was planning to cancel and reorder it with that discount instead. :naughty:

Received my Alice in Wonderland. Unfortunately the new packaging had taken it's roll on another steelbook. There are scratches and a paint chip on the back, and there's a dent on the back spine edge.

I understand they're trying to cut costs, but there's a balance between money saved on packaging and money not lost giving refunds and replacements. Clearly Zavvi has crossed that line currently.

Hopefully they'll fix their packaging problems.

Issue: I have a problem with my order
Details: I have received a damaged item
Additional: I would like a replacement if still available
Customer info:
I received the steelbook with scratches on the back under the j-card. Also a large dent on the edge. The new thinner packaging is not thick enough to be protective.

Read the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th letters, that's why I'm guessing.

The one time I've had to request a refund and they confirmed it was being processed it did appear within that time frame, if it hasn't for you you'll likely find whoever you were dealing with forgot to actually click the refund button at a guess.

---

Ordered 28 Days Later with the 10% off code + Rewardz points earlier for £7.92 :) should go nicely with the 28 Weeks Later Steel I got for £6.84 from eBay.

Zavvi got back to me today about my damaged Hercules. I told them clearly yesterday I wanted a full refund and wanted it asap, so of course today they reply offering me a 15% refund

I dunno whats been happening, but all the recent steels I've gotten from Zavvi all have paint stretching. On a black steels release it's not terrible, but on something like Alive in Wonderland with such a rich purple, the stretching is really noticeable.

It seems to be a problem across the board with the glossing process on steelbooks. Recent Korean releases Amelie and The Pianist both had it, and Anchorman 2 from ES, and probably others.

I tried the SEMIZ code just to see if it was mistakenly still active but it's not...a weird thing happened I'm not logged in on Zavvi
they E-mailed me a few seconds after saying:

We noticed you recently tried to use an offer that was invalid but don't worry, we have some great offers for you

Check out our latest offers and discount codes...

HOW THE F*** DO THEY KNOW IT'S ME???? :ugh:

Boy, Zavvi is sh*tting the bed more often than my 97-year old grandma.

Feel for you. Demand at least a 50% refund.

Y'all in America should be able to get a full refund or replacement and get to keep the damaged one to do with what you please...I suggest pooping on it and sending it back....jk, or am I... :hilarious:

They did the same to me... conspiracy? :squint:

I emailed Zavvi regarding another partial refund, and no response. I think I ought to stop asking for them otherwise they might tell me to get lost.

But I don't think they can't afford to lose a customer like me. Clearly, desperate to save ££ telling by the drastic packaging cut backs.

They know it's you because of the cookies you've left on the site. You only need to actually log into your account when you want to place an order, etc. It's exactly the same with Amazon, Play and many other sites.
