**Retailer charges cards when items ship

Current packaging is a cardboard mailer with the steelbook usually wrapped in either a layer of bubble wrap or foam

I now have confirmation that I can announce ... for all those worried about future packaging from Zavvi. My Play contact has been working with zavvi as well on this mission for better packaging. Between the 3 of us and the future comments from this community after its in place I'm sure it will be go over well.

1/19/2013 Member Nyvo tweeted Zaavi about packaging concerns. They said they may be looking into alternate packaging methods.

I have a question for you smart people.

I have pre-ordered a fair few things for December time and earlier, but my card expires on the 10th month this year, I've just had my new card arrive recently arrive in the mail, and I've added it to my Zavvi account and edited my existing one, but my pre-orders show up with the previous card number, which is in date until the end of October I believe, but then expires… What will happen with my pre-orders? Will it automatically use my other card data I have stored on the website, or just notify me that no payment was made and not go through?

I've emailed zavvi, but I can't make sense of there response, it's like an answer to a different question… made no sense to me. This was the response given:


Thank you for getting in touch aboutt amending your pre-orders.

I am really sorry, once an order is placed I am unable to amend it.

I understand this is disappointing, but if you wish to cancel your order, you can make this request through your online account.

The order should successfully cancel providing it has not entered our warehouse for processing. You will receive an email shortly after making the request which will let you know if the order was cancelled.

If a charge has been taken for the order, then a refund will be requested upon cancellation and the money returned to your account within 3-5 working days.

If there is anything else that we can do, then please do not hesitate to get in touch and a member of our team will be happy to help.

Somebody help please! I mainly didn't want to lose my Guardians of the Galaxy pre-order and my girlfriends Disney pre-orders (Lion King, etc)… Zavvi really are impossible to speak with, so I thought i'd try the ninjas!

Tricky one because you have so many pre-orders linked to your old card...

The only suggestion I have is to re-order with the new card once the OOS items become available again and deleted the old orders. Maybe this is only the "clean" way?
 
This is crazy. I didn't think it would be a problem to switch. Hope somebody else has a solution because that doesn't seem to be one. I was really excited to get the Disney pre-orders before they sold out for my girlfriend :( and I'll be super lucky to get them in time when/if more come back in stock + I used discount codes of mine on them, so seems unfair that now I have to potentially pay for price.
 
Can you return a damaged steel book simply for a refund and not a replacement, even if still in stock?

Yes, your still within your rights, I did this previously on one occasion, just state your not happy with it in their form on their site, select the previous order and pick contact us.
In the form pick I've a problem with my order, then I have received a damaged item and finally pick I would prefer a refund. They may offer you a partial refund by percentage, do not accept it and state your still not happy with the steelbook.

Just got an Email stating Tarzan and Cold in July has limited stock but it doesn't even mention how many are left.
No s**t, Zavvi. As soon as just 1 copy is ordered then limited stock (3999) remains.
 
When this happened to me recently with the Indiana Jones steels I received an email that told me there was a problem taking payment and I was then able to go into my account and click "resolve" next to the offending order and type in new card details.

So i had my credit card compromised recently which has affected 4 of my orders. All are part of the Disney wave and now sold out. I sent an email about updating the card for those orders, hopefully it's not an issue. Or maybe they will come in stock again around release date like they normally do. :ohno:
 
Well it happened to me a few weeks back and there was a message beside my order to update the card which I did and the order was send out the next day. Captain America I think it was.....

Same thing happened to me when Hunchback was dispatching.
Resolved the problem through My Orders when they sent an email about the processing problem.
Then, Zavvi's system cancelled all the future releases part of the existing order (my Ghosbusters 2 orders!)
So watch out for that if your scenario is similar.

I think I might be ok, because mine were 4 separate orders with just the 1 and not multiple items. So hopefully its not an issue. Thanks

I lost the option to pay via paypal also + my zavvi rewards points vanished.... reply from zavvi on both issues was "current technical issues & both should return soon" well no fix soon = no more purchases :mad::angry::muted:
yet my pre-orders are still going through paypal.... just had 3 dispatched in the last few days & charged to paypal...
 
reward points were lost already some month ago (i think it was july???)

i have the same problem too, cant pay with paypal... only method i can use on their site oO
