I now have confirmation that I can announce ... for all those worried about future packaging from Zavvi. My Play contact has been working with zavvi as well on this mission for better packaging. Between the 3 of us and the future comments from this community after its in place I'm sure it will be go over well.

The reason everybody has missed it twice now is because ZAVVI ARE PLAYING SILLY GAMES with us! Trying to generate hype about their supposed "final" Disney release. In actuality, they have probably only sold around half of their stock (mostly to scalpers), and are most likely holding on to the rest to offer to Zavvi Outlet so that they can sell on eBay for an inflated price! This is Zavvi's answer to scalpers - Deny people the pre-orders they deserve, and then undermine the scalpers after release! Clearly Zavvi tactics, and I don't know why I am the only one who can see this is what's happening time and time again!

They need to be investigated by a consumer watchdog or board who monitor fair trading! We demand to have more transparency!

You're not the only one who can see through Zavvi's marketing antics. Scalping happens with every release now, even The Raid 2, not a Zavvi exclusive but have seen it go for under cost on eBay auctions due to excessive relisting. It's all down to how much you want it, but I personally, regardless of how many copies they secretly have left, do not want to miss out on this. Even if the chances of this becoming well sought after are very slim, I'm not that fussed. I'm sure the scalpers visit this website and read all of our comments about how anticipated this is and attempt to fill their pockets.

The Hut Group have also been in trouble before, customers got their own back with the infamous PlayStation Vita incident last year. We always complain, but without sounding like a kiss ass, I've got to hand it to them for keeping the Steelbook game alive and kicking.

Ok, what is going on with zavvi's payment options right now? First, PayPal is gone, now giropay and everything else I could use, too! The only options left are credit card (which I don't have) and Alipay (which I have never heard of).

Zavvi really need to sort their website out, especially customer service methods. I'm trying to send a photo of my proof of postage as I'm returning an item and the upload a file option does not work! And the I just get a stupid generic email saying to try again and the" if we can assist you further a member of our team will be happy to help!" The fact is they don't! You wait 2 days minimum for a reply and you still have to go through it again!
I'm ranting now, but for CHRIST'S SAKE, don't they know what customer service is!! With all the money they make, you would think that they would revamp their website!!!! Arrggghhgghhhh.......... and breathe!![emoji16]

Notice how Zavvi have now fixed the order glitch which saved us money (you can now cancel available items) But they still haven't found a way for us to change delivery address. Which would benefit the customer but not them in any shape or form, so why would they?

It's almost as if they believe they can make more money this way. They're oblivious to the real things that need amending.

Does anyone know where I stand legally with Zavvi as I have just been ripped off a day after ordering 10+ items with a discount code. The following day, Zavvi started a flash sale with most of these items included. I've lost at least £5 due to this, I've sent them messages on Facebook and Twitter, to which they refused to refund me. I attempted to cancel before dispatch, but the same old "Failed Cancellation" nonsense prohibited me from doing so.

I only ordered seeing as how The Equalizer and Empire of the Sun had both 10% off both when ordering in-stock items. Was mislead thinking I'd snagged some bargains, was ripped on both 'The Woman' and 'Mary Poppins'. :(

Only two?? Haha I've been ripped off for almost every item on that list, paid full price for most, it's pathetic :(

Rest assured I have been had with most of these too. But this was a day after ordering, I was duped :banghead:

Zavvi refused to refund me the £5 I lost. That'll teach me to fall for their tricks. £6 reductions on some of these is a kick in the teeth. Especially This is England, which only came out two months ago! EEK!

Question for you all experienced Zavvi customers. As per this note:

"Pre-order Price Promise: Order this product with us today and if we reduce the price between taking your order and the release date, we will charge you the lower price!*terms & conditions apply."

Do Zavvi also update the price change listed in the Order Details or not?

NEW zavvi website is up! now i'm curious to navigate the site a bit, to see what they changed etc.

edit: now it's back to the old one after some site maintenance.
i think it was just a beta test for something coming up soon. ;)
Looks like the new site is back up! For now at least.

A pile of crap and I'm sick of zavvi 2 days I've been tryin to message them it's a joke, you have to ask yourself what kind of business/company operates this way?
What a disgrace, nothing has changed over there despite all there promises they are still a cowboy outfit and looks like they always will be, time to shop elsewhere.

I suspect that there is nothing you can do. It would be like going into a supermarket and seeing a Buy One Get One Free Offer, and going in the following day and the offer has changed to a Buy One Get Two Free. Retailers run promotions all of the time, and sometimes a better offer can follow the one you used.

They will only give you the Pre-order Price Promise up to release date if its listed on the website listing and important you don't use any discount codes or any other promotional offers when ordering

They are not the best for automatically giving you the lower price you would have to contact them to get it after its been despatched and if you don't you will end up paying the dearer price

What majority of us do to avoid the hassle of looking for the reduced price is when you see the price drop
Do a new order at new price and then after new order confirmed cancel older order to make sure you get the reduced price

You don't have any legal rights to lower price
Just because they lower the price next day on titles you previously ordered
You were not mislead or ripped off

Its just bad luck and timing

Its retail you will always see a new offer happen just after you purchase something
You could go into your local shop buy something and the next day its reduced in a promotion or just in general you would have no rights whatsoever to demand the lower price
