Current packaging is a cardboard mailer with the steelbook usually wrapped in either a layer of bubble wrap or foam

I now have confirmation that I can announce ... for all those worried about future packaging from Zavvi. My Play contact has been working with zavvi as well on this mission for better packaging. Between the 3 of us and the future comments from this community after its in place I'm sure it will be go over well.

1/19/2013 Member Nyvo tweeted Zaavi about packaging concerns. They said they may be looking into alternate packaging methods.

Whats the longest you guys in the US have waited for a package? So far i have been waiting for TBITSP for over a month now.

contact zavvi straight away if its been over 30 days since dispatch

Zavvi's policy

Please note that items must be reported as missing within 40 days of being dispatched to you as we are unable to take any action on your behalf after this time.

Rest of the World, please allow 30 days from dispatch before reporting an item as missing (Turkey is currently classed within our 30 day timescale)

Has anyone had luck with getting store credit?

Last time they promised to give me a refund i never got it.

The gf ordered Monsters Uni from Zavvi and it went missing, and Zavvi were ridiculous about it. Kept saying it's not their problem, how did they know that she didn't just steal it etc. Quite a lengthy to-and-fro and after about 20 emails and numerous phone calls they eventually sent out a replacement.

I like how they say 'Do not report missing until after 30 days', and then say 'Do not report missing after 40 days'. Quite a window they're giving their customers there.
 
Im guessing that with all the spine slashes and steelbook damaged, this is the reason for the reduced quantities in the disney steels?

With the recent damage to the cinderella, bambi and brave steels, do you think they will be scrapping alot of the damaged ones as they have with other disney steels?

Have received my copy of Cinderella today and unfortunately it comes with a spine slash. Was hopping to be a lucky guy and avoid this spine slash madness. It was the first time it happens to me (thinking that someday it would have to happen). Just e-mailed Zavvi and ask them to send me a replacement copy instead of a discount, so I'm hopping they could help me as fast as they can.

Every time I've talked to them, they were fast answering and resolving any problem, so I'm hopping they do it fast.

I'm still hopping for Bambi to arrive and I'm praying as much as I can to receive a mint copy :ohno:

Just had a look at my Zavvi account to see what the delay is with my Dusk til Dawn and the status has been changed to cancelled

Had no notification from them (other than a 'sorry for the delay' message a few days before) - not the first time this has happened - fuming! :(
 
Is this the first time that spine slashes have been through the shrinkwrap?

We've heard many stories before where the spine was damaged but the shrinkwrap was still intact. It seems usually to be an issue caused at the manufacturer end of things, not the retailer.

hasn´t been the first time and it won´t be the last...
HMV used to be awfully "good" at this as well...
just this time it seems to have affected not just a few...

About my Cinderella Steelbook, I received an email from Zavvi with just a form to be field by me and send to them. Had no other information on what I have to do :/

Unfortunately in the form the Refund option is marked instead of the Replacement option, although I had explained very well that I would like for a replacement instead of a refund. Don't know what to do about this. Can someone help me?

I can't get a refund and order it again, because I'm from Portugal and they cut any posting to here!!! Besides, if I order it again, I'll pay for postage, unlike when I pre-ordered it that I just pay for the edition!
 
Inconsistency from Zavvi with regards to my two slashed Brave steelbooks.
With the first they immediately offered my a refund on return and sent me a shipping label.
With the second they have asked for pictures and upon receiving the picture offered me "a 10% refund as a gesture of goodwill." Jog on Zavvi.
 
I've rarely had a problem with them only a couple of issues . But with these limited runs the films are shite bar sin city now if they did a limited run of shindlers list they would be on a winner

My copy of Filth arrived a couple of days ago. Zavvi's response:

"As a gesture of goodwill we would like to offer a refund of 20% off Filth"

How about a gesture of goodwill where you send me a replacement?

Who would seriously take the partial refund for damage like that? There needs to be some sort of investigation into the customer service department of Zavvi. I swear its full of actual chimps.
 
Someone who bought it for the film and not the Steelbook? In any case I don't know why people get so wound up about Zavvi offering partial refunds. If you don't want a partial refund, simply tell them so and they should send you instructions for return, it's that simple.

I'm glad they offer partial refunds because when there is a widespread problem, it provides a handy discount. I could order ten copies of Cinderella for example and possibly get a spine slash every time. I could demand a refund but I'll be left empty handed. Instead I might accept a partial refund. It let's them know I'm not happy so they can hopefully take steps to avoid similar problems and makes me feel a little better too.
