Current packaging is a cardboard mailer with the steelbook usually wrapped in either a layer of bubble wrap or foam

I now have confirmation that I can announce ... for all those worried about future packaging from Zavvi. My Play contact has been working with zavvi as well on this mission for better packaging. Between the 3 of us and the future comments from this community after its in place I'm sure it will be go over well.

1/19/2013 Member Nyvo tweeted Zaavi about packaging concerns. They said they may be looking into alternate packaging methods.

dman i must have missed the "stopping" of the reward program emails as well I bet i had enough to get 2 steel for free atleast. What a crock of **** lol

Oh Zavvi... I had previously canceled my Aristocats steelbook order and re-ordered when a discount code later surfaced. Today, I see that both my good order AND canceled order were shipped. I went in to check the status of the canceled order and it's status still shows 'canceled', yet with today's dispatch date. How is that possible?

Yeah, great system.

Query sent to them, asking how it can be rectified...that's bs.
 
Lost over £1 of points then - so spend obviously over £100 and absolutely nobody looking out for their regular customers at Zavvi.
 
Received a steel today with the dreaded spine slash! Not sure what to do. :(

If you're in the UK or IRE, I would return it for a replacement. If not, then I'd ask for a partial refund and keep it, but that's just me.

I don't like running the risk of items getting lost in transit over seas is why :)

That said, I returned an item to Amazon France lately due to a spine slash, all depends how much it bothers you.

3 Disney steelbooks delivered this morning from zavvi, all in white boxes, finally!

Really hope this is true and they've finally switched back! I'd say out of my last 20 steelbooks...half has had some kind of flaw due to packing, mostly minor dents, but it's frustrating. Never had any flaws when they had the white boxes!

Also frustrated that their ordering page doesn't allow you to change your shipping address!!! I'm moving in a week and have about 30+ steels on pre-order...I messaged them and they sent this back:
"I am really sorry, once an order is placed I am unable to amend it. I understand this is disappointing, but if you wish to cancel your order, you can make this request through your online account"

Soooo...I have to basically cancel all of my orders and reorder...most of which were pre-ordered with a discount or Zavvi points attached or are sold out...NOT HAPPY. What kind of outdated ordering system doesn't allow you to change basic information like the shipping address on orders that are outstanding? Get it together Zavvi! This paired with the packaging lately really makes me feel like giving up. I can't be the only one...
 
Finally received my Hercules steelbook today, in a brown carbon envelope and one sheet of foam... got a few dents, scratched paint and the top of steelbook is a bit twisted: it's not straight. Can anyone tell me what's the most effective way to get a replacement (I live in EU)? Via message system of my account, or is there an e-mail to send my complaint to and get this settled ([email protected])?

Definitely via the message system when logged in to your account - apparently Zavvi don't bother replying to that email.

My Aristrocats arrived safely in a white box this morning.
 
My debit card was cloned and I am being sent a new one.Should get it in a 2-3 days.I have all the Indiana Jones on pre order.

What will happen to my orders ,do they get canceled , do I enter my new card details when I get it ?

@dominic, usually the day they try to charge your card and it doesn't work, you would be sent an e-mail to update your payment info. If you don't do so within xxxxtime frame, the order is cancelled.

They've changed how it all works, you'll have to contact Zavvi, find "Contact Us" either from their site or from Google search and there should be a "I want to cancel an order" option. Send the request email and they should get back to you soon.

Me again has anyone EVER received anything from zavvi where it's just the steel and never included a slip as I have bought something off the eBay and it was stated as like new out of shrink wrap and they state that they received it from zavvi like that
