Current packaging is a cardboard mailer with the steelbook usually wrapped in either a layer of bubble wrap or foam

I now have confirmation that I can announce ... for all those worried about future packaging from Zavvi. My Play contact has been working with zavvi as well on this mission for better packaging. Between the 3 of us and the future comments from this community after its in place I'm sure it will be go over well.

I received my first steelbook from Zavvi today (Carlito's Way). My heart was in my mouth when I saw it was in the old cardboard mailer but thankfully it was ok...phew! I have a couple more to come so fingers crossed!

Wreck do you know if the seven psychopaths steelbook will be sent out in the new packaging since its a new release or is there still a chance it could be the old packaging, Iv'e been waiting on this coming out for ages and I would be pissed if it got damaged in the old packaging, thx

I couldnt tell u if my stuffs been in old or new packaging but every item so far has arrived in perfect condition. I cant fault zavvi on packaging though faster standard delivery would be amazing.

gd to hear I think people are getting their pre orders fast enough but other than that they could def improve their normal delivery times.

You can do it on site mate, when you click on cancel you are able to choose between cancel the entire order, or cancel a specific part of the order. That way you're able to choose for only certain items to be cancelled.

Even if you have 2 copies of the same item ordered, you can choose to cancel only one of them.

Had my first issue with Zavvi packaging today which given how many items ive had from them isnt that bad.

Issue seems to be down to whoever packaged one of my SBs and they have put the SB to close to where the flap is glued down. this resulted in SB becoming stuck to the box and ripping the seal off the SB itself.

Not a huge issue if you plan to open the SB anyway but i didnt plan to so is a little disappointing.

am I the only person that can't use Paypal when ordering from Zavvi? Every time I've attempted to check out, it tells me 'PayPal is currently unavailable. Please pay by an alternative method.'

I think it is a problem between zavvi and the US PayPal account. A friend of mine from Korea told me he had no problem ordering from zavvi with his Korean PayPal account.

Im pretty sure ive used paypal for my purchases here in the UK atleast once and there was no issue.

I wouldnt have thought there would be issue from other countries either since payplan merely holds card details and processes them when needed so works same as doing the card info directly with the selling site.

Just out of curiosity, how damaged is qualified for replacement from zavvi?

I received two copies of War of the Worlds and they both have weird marks on the front. They look like somebody slashes with something hot and the plastic wrap sticks to the steel and doesn't move. I can see some scratches there, but am not sure if they are just wrinkles outside or real scratches unless I remove the seal.

How on earth do you organise a return on zavvi's impenetrable website? Robocop has a spine slash and I want to send it back and get a refund as I don't think the quality is acceptable for a £15.99 item but I might as well try and get a meeting with Dick Jones, the so called message centre is that impossible to use for something as simple as a return.

They'll be getting plenty of returns now that they're "the home of steelbookz" so they really need to sort out their customer service which as it stands is virtually non-existent in my experience.

Thought Zavvi had sorted out their packaging, Silence of the Lambs steelbook arrived today in a bloody jiffy bag, luckily no dints, but this is unacceptable. They will soon lose thousands of customers, if they don't get their act together!!!

I'd rather not use zavvi but it's damn tricky with them getting exclusives. Might just rely on classifieds rather than tangling with their legendary customer services.

FYI: Doesn't fit large letter if you reuse the packaging for returns or shipping to someone else.

Ok new slim line packaging has other advantages.

Today was first day i got a delivery where the postie had to put it through my door. I was opening the package with a lump in my throat cause it had hot my wooden floor with quite a bang.

The SB hadnt even moved from its centre position in the packaging so how snug a fit is that.

Zavvi is racking up bonus points with me on deliverys

hey guys, I ordered 3 copies of a steelbook and only 2 arrived.

It's been about 6 days since the first 2 showed up - and no sign of the third one yet.

According to my order history, it appears that they shipped all 3.

Any of you had an experience you'd like to share about how good (or bad) Zavvi is about this sort of thing?
