Current packaging is a cardboard mailer with the steelbook usually wrapped in either a layer of bubble wrap or foam

I now have confirmation that I can announce ... for all those worried about future packaging from Zavvi. My Play contact has been working with zavvi as well on this mission for better packaging. Between the 3 of us and the future comments from this community after its in place I'm sure it will be go over well.

1/19/2013 Member Nyvo tweeted Zaavi about packaging concerns. They said they may be looking into alternate packaging methods.

Tweeted Zavvi asking for a Return Authorisation Number, got one sent to me within a couple of hours, item is now back in the post to them and upon providing a picture of my proof of postage the refund gets issued straight away. Not ideal, but it's hardly difficult.

Well i tweeted them a question 2 days ago and had no response at all. Received a response today to my returns request and have been asked to send in photographs as proof of the damage on the steelbooks despite the contact form having no upload function and no email address given to send them to so with this and all of the other examples from others it clearly is hard for the majority.

Awful infrastructure and a joke of a company

It does sound odd to be asked for evidence though, I've never been asked for that. I just said 'I have a spine slash and want to return for a refund' and they said 'OK, here is the form and Return number'.

Don't get me wrong, their customer service is still poor, but it's a lot better than it used to be. 5 days used to be the normal turnaround and then they used to lie about refunds appearing. The cancellation of ordered items is shocking though, they have some serious improvement to do.

I am really sorry to let you know that we have had to cancel your order for both Finding Nemo's because our suppliers were unable to provide it.

I understand how disappointing this might be. We have tried other suppliers but we have not had any luck. We will be removing the item from our website as soon as possible.

If a charge has been taken for the order, then a refund will be requested upon cancellation and the money returned to your account within 3-5 working days.

Sorry to hear that. When did you preorder? I preordered last week and worry about mine cancelled. Zavvi oversell again?

I was probably one of the first as I kept refreshing my search for "Nemo steel" and it eventually popped up on Saturday. I knew it was going to happen at some point b/c someone (I believe it was Wreck) mentioned it was going up for preorder. I tried searching after I received this email this morning and it's no longer listed on the Zavvi website either.

Also Anyone have a list of films Zavvi is selling that is Region free? even though it is listed region B
 
My package came today

I ordered on - May 8 2013
Zavvi Shipped it on - May 10 2013
I received in the US (Maryland) on May 17 2013

Shipping took 7 days and 9 days from when I clicked to order. Pretty fast for over sea's shipping

They packed One Steelbook in a box a size little bit bigger than the Steel and wrapped the steel in a thin layer of foam. ...Not the best but no scratches and no dents

Zavvi need to really sort out these cancellation issues as it is really not funny having an order that one placed maybe many months ago unceremoniously cancelled with no warning or reason. Especially when orders made weeks or even months after get shipped off without a hitch.
They also need to lower the prices, especially for catalogue titles. If this means raising international shipping prices so be it.

EDIT: anyone know how to change the delivery address for outstanding orders? I've added my new default delivery address and deleted the old one but my outstanding orders haven't updated :confused:

you cannot change shipping addresses on existing orders unfortunately.. I know, I tried. Had to cancel then re order.

Does anyone know if I can change the card details on an order at zavvi?

EDIT: I've got some stuff preordered, but my card expires before they are released, and I can't cancel and reorder as some of the items are oos.

Can you cancel a item from a order without the whole order being cancelled. What about changing quantity example 2 down to 1.

you can cancel part of an order without the whole order being cancelled , you can also reduce quantity from 2 to 1,

but if you have used a voucher code ie (£4 off when you spend £40) on that order the whole order can only be cancelled not an individual item

Even if you order will still be over £40 after cancelling a item? I placed a 2nd order right after the 1st just in case since I wasn't sure if my brother would want a Evil Dead 2 but this is just for future.

click cancel next to your order, it will then give you the option to cancel the entire order or part of the order, it will also tell you if you can only cancel the entire order if a voucher was used

I'm not sure is this the right place I can post about this so sorry if it is wrong place. I would like to ask for advice

I was ordered 4 steelbooks from zavvi and one of themcI decided to cancel after a few hours, but the system said "can't cancel because it is well packed and ready to dispatch" actually it is ok for me. It is 10 days already I got 3 out of 4 steelbook from my order accept thecone that I decided to cancel before. I have checked my inbox and notice that I don't reveive dispatch email of this steelbook and they already charged me.

What should I do? Anyone have face this problem before? I have sent them query and it is a day already with no reply :(
