Current packaging is a cardboard mailer with the steelbook usually wrapped in either a layer of bubble wrap or foam

I now have confirmation that I can announce ... for all those worried about future packaging from Zavvi. My Play contact has been working with zavvi as well on this mission for better packaging. Between the 3 of us and the future comments from this community after its in place I'm sure it will be go over well.

1/19/2013 Member Nyvo tweeted Zaavi about packaging concerns. They said they may be looking into alternate packaging methods.

ya but i had no transaction with zavvi. after what they did the last time, i canceled my original account with them

I'm not a huge fan of Zavvi yet. They have their ups and downs and I don't really trust them fully just yet.

Since they 'decided' they wanted to be the new place for exclusive steels they really gotta step up their game.
My last order was problemfree though, hopefully it stays that way.
 
i dont usually read retail threads on hdn because i never had problems with any.
although i must say that zavvi is probably the worst model of company for customers and the best for profits.
they are only good at charging.
No customer support number. Automated replies, with disgusting word recognition system.
n out of control system of charges with no explanation.
If i didnt have enebled the notification of charge on my phone i wouldnt have known that zavvi charged me WITHOUT AN EMAIL nor an update on the ''my account'' section.

Completely agree I've managed to get 3 dispatch emails so far of all what should be coming next week yet have had ALOT more authorised by my card.
I can't even find those 3 showing as dispatched on the zavvi site so just have to hold out till they manage to update the site so I know whats what :wtf:

Think I got spoiled by Play last year theyre outstanding orders / order history pages were so good :D
 
I've almost completely given up on zavvi. I've made 4 different accounts using a combination of debit and credit cards and my orders get cancelled and my accounts deleted. This is even after my bank and cc assures me that they've unblocked all foreign transactions :dunno:
Also, the paypal checkout option is always 'currently unavailable' :angry:

I just can't get a break...gonna have to pay double or triple on ebay on certain sold out exclusives.

p.s. If not mentioned elsewhere, Ted is only £9.95 on zavvi :p

I have a order with 4 steelbooks.

2 Black Swan
2 Aladdin

I just received the debit of Black Swan and they charge me the full shipping cost.
They will charge me the shipping again to send the Aladdin?
 
Does anyone have any idea about GPL, Nemo got sent by GPL by zavvi. I have never heard of them, and tracking number is also very unusual, 6 digit number.
 
Anyone else having 'payment problem' emails sent from Zavvi for their Finding Nemo orders? I find it strange as Black Swan has just shipped. I've had the same problem before just before receiving out of stock/cancellation emails.
 
So from the email I just got back from Zavvi they can not update Credit Card info. My card expires the 31st of May tomorrow and I updated the new info in my account. They said they can not change card details once a order is placed. It's the same card just expires now in May 2016 and has new 3 digit code on back. Well if the dumb Paypal would ever work wouldn't have to worry about it.

Anyone have this issue will the order just cancel or will the new details I submitted in the account carry over to existing order's.
 
Ok, now I just got the same for Withnail and I, which isn't supposed to ship until next month [edit: According to the order summary page]. What's going on here?

Withnail is releasing on 3rd June.

Yeah, thought so, but on the order summary page it says 1st July. Maybe that's what causing the problem for that particular order. Also, the release date for Finding Nemo is not updated on the order summary page.

Really good news about the packaging... I remeber before play got their new packaging. I must have written them 200 mails on the matter, and they finally upgraded is, and it was great. I have really missed Play.coms packaging ever since they "shut down".
Now Zavvi is getting a similar packaging = ) Great news.
They still need to work on their customer service though. Its horrible...

The play package still looks just a bit more robust though...
 
...and the problems keep piling up. I tried to contact Zavvi, they responded to my message and said that one of the orders were placed via Paypal, nothing I can do, I've processed a cancellation of the order.

They don't even read the emails... I can only hope someone else takes over before long
 
just curious why when i order something from amazon.co.uk, it takes about a week to a week and a half to reach canada, but when i order from zavvi, it takes more than 2 weeks?
