Current packaging is a cardboard mailer with the steelbook usually wrapped in either a layer of bubble wrap or foam

I now have confirmation that I can announce ... for all those worried about future packaging from Zavvi. My Play contact has been working with zavvi as well on this mission for better packaging. Between the 3 of us and the future comments from this community after its in place I'm sure it will be go over well.

So I've had The Rocketeer on pre-order since the second it was announced. So long ago that I forgot my credit card had changed.

They tried to process it, couldn't, and sent me an email to change payment method.

I put the new card in.

It said processing for the last few days, and then today I get an email saying they cancelled my order.

So it was partly my fault, but I'd done with Zavvi and steelbooks. It's not worth the hassle.

Don't feel bad Zavvi up and cancelled all my orders as well.

i dont understand why hidef supports zavvi so much. I really am at a lost now. We have a company that feels its right to cancel peoples orders for no reason and no explanation. We have a company that goes backwards and changes their packaging again. We have a company that at least 50% of the time takes forever in customer services replies and having a handle on the issue. And yet, we continue to support them over countless of sloppy releases. I had one last order with them (despicable me 2) but even being such a huge fan, i refuse to give any support whatsoever to zavvi anymore.

Yep, they cancelled my order as well, Guess I will cancel all orders with Zavvi and get Monsters University through amazon.de.

No clue, went to check on the status and I could not find the order anywhere. I checked the email for that account and Voila, there was the email. Stating at my request the orders were cancelled.

Are you guys getting cancellations paying with Paypal? I've noticed from quite a few retailers that when pre-ordering and paying with Paypal you have to be careful the release is not too far away because after a certain about of time has passed (think it's either 30 or 45 days) the payment fails for some reason. Think it's a paypal bug.

Ok! any idea what is going on?? I ordered Tron, Rocketeer, and Dick Tracy. Now there is no record of this in my order history, but all the money for these was charged to my credit card? I sent them off an email, but no word. Am I getting ripped off here ??

Any help? Has this happened to anyone else before?

Yes It's happened to me twice and when I looked in my order history I couldn't find them Yet the items were delivered on the day. Happened with Aladdin and the Terminator steelbook. Both turned up and still they are still not in my order history.

My steelbook copies of The Little Mermaid and The sixth Sense arrived today in one piece which was remarkable considering the poor packaging and the fact that the Post Man flung the boxes through my letterbox little a missile bouncing nicely of the table in the hall.
With the Zavvi packaging and the crap posting by Royal Mail, it's amazing I get any post intact at all..........

Ok, I guess I will just wait it out till they get over here to Canada. Ya the packaging is pretty bad. I think this will be the last time I order with them, so many little things, and those little white boxes they use don't seem enough for any distance in the mail system, and for sure not international. Zavvi Packaging (For UK delivery) - Totally pleased with the new style ones...Reminds me of the HMV boxes but with foam padding. In fact I can open the side and slide the steel out. And then re-use for low cost posting (large letter)

However, for International despatch...Some improvement is most definitely needed...Why doesn't Zavvi charge a tad more but improve the quality of the boxes?

Perhaps we could have question suggestions, then a poll to get the 10 most popular.

Maybe then we could understand some of Zavvi's thought processes.

My questions would be ...

Why are the final artworks on most Steelbooks held back until after release ?
Why don't the Disney releases contain the 3D disk for the high price paid ?
Why has the packaging reduced in quality ?

Hopefully some here can answer since nobody has in the Fast & Furious 6 forum. I want to order Fast 6 from Zavvi, but the site states it's Region B. Can anyone confirm this is Region B locked, or is it Region Free as it is a Universal title? Greatly appreciate any help!
